Disney sidekicks may not be the lead characters of their respective movies, but they certainly end up being scene stealers every time they appear. Each character brings something truly unique to their individual movies and they always end up bringing something truly magical to the films.

Comedic relief tends to be the core characteristic of any Disney sidekick, but that isn't all they provide. Their personalities are always pushed and detailed and that really helps to make these characters so incredibly popular. But which of the top Disney sidekicks are the most likable, based on their personality traits and behaviors throughout the movies?

Cogsworth (Beauty And The Beast)

Cogsworth

Cogsworth is certainly the grumpiest of all the Disney sidekicks, always wanting things done by the book in the most perfect manner possible. Thankfully Lumiere bounces off him well and that makes Cogsworth a little softer, but there's no doubt his grumpy attitude does make him a little unlikeable.

Of course, deep down Cogsworth really does care about all of his friends within the castle, but that doesn't stop him from complaining about pretty much everything that happens throughout the movie.

Tinkerbell (Peter Pan)

Disney Peter Pan Tinkerbell Fairy

Tinkerbell may very well be one of the most popular characters in Disney history, but that doesn't mean she's actually all the likeable. When her personality and behaviors are broken down, she actually does a lot of very mean and aggressive things.

Tinkerbell suffers from incredible jealousy and that is something that leads to a lot of poor decisions throughout the course of the movie. She treats Wendy terribly throughout the movie, and sadly that does make her quite unlikeable in comparison to the other characters.

White Rabbit (Alice In Wonderland)

White Rabbit

White Rabbit pops up consistently throughout Alice In Wonderland, most of the time just informing people that he's late! He brings quite a lot of funny moments throughout what is already quite a crazy film and that certainly adds a lot of joy to the movie.

His personality isn't showcased quite as heavily as other Disney sidekicks, but he is certainly a lot of fun as a character. He's loyal and determined to be where he needs to be and he comes across as very likable.

Sebastian (The Little Mermaid)

Sebastian in The Little Mermaid

Sebastian is someone who has a lot to say throughout The Little Mermaid and he has no problem making sure that people hear his thoughts. He's loud, bossy, and sometimes a little rude, which is why he's not the most likable sidekick in Disney history.

However, at the same time, he is also very loyal to King Triton and he proves he can be trusted. Sebastian does bring some funny moments as well, even if they tend to be with him reacting or being scared of something else.

Thumper (Bambi)

Thumper

Thumper is another really great Disney sidekick and someone who is just full of joy and happiness throughout Bambi. He helps Bambi throughout the movie with his confidence, trying to teach the young character the ways of the woods and that makes him incredibly likable.

Thumper is just a kindhearted character and that is why he's so likable and cute. He also brings some of the comedic relief to what is otherwise a more serious and emotional Disney movie.

Jiminy Cricket (Pinnochio)

Jiminy Cricket is the ultimate conscience and someone who really tries to guide Pinnochio in the right direction throughout the film. While the young puppet doesn't always make the right decisions, Jiminy always sticks by his side and remains loyal.

That's why he is so loveable as he always gives sound advice and tries to do his job to the best of his ability. The only thing holding Jiminy Cricket back is that he likes to stick by the rules and tries to restrict Pinnochio at times, which is something other sidekicks don't tend to do as much.

Mushu (Mulan)

Mushu is perhaps the funniest of all the Disney sidekicks and that really does make him very likable to audiences. There's nothing to dislike with Mushu as all he tries to do is look after Mulan and make sure that she doesn't get caught and stays alive.

He provides solid advice for the most part, and his energy and excitement certainly makes him very likable from an audience perspective. Eddie Murphy brings an amazing performance to this role as well, which really helps him connect with viewers.

Timon & Pumba (The Lion King)

Timon & Pumba do really come as a package deal within The Lion King as everything they do happens to be together. They're incredibly funny together and that is why they're so likable as their attitudes and personalities just bounce off each other really well.

They aren't just about comedy though as both Timon and Pumba are really caring and kind as well. They are willing to do anything for Simba throughout the film, helping him to grow and then fight for his rightful place as king, which makes them reliable and trustworthy as well.

Olaf (Frozen/Frozen 2)

There's nothing not to love about Olaf really as he is one of the kindest and warmest characters in Disney history. He certainly became a scene-stealer in his two movies and while he provided tons of funny one-liners, he also gave a lot of great emotional moments as well.

Olaf cares deeply about all the other characters and that is something that really makes him a great character. He's an inquisitive character as well who always wants to learn and develop his knowledge, and that's something that can be very respectable.

The Genie (Aladdin)

The Genie really is the ultimate Disney sidekick character and a lot of that is down to the amazing performance that is provided by Robin Williams within this movie. Obviously, The Genie brings a lot of excitement due to the magical powers that he has, but that isn't the only reason he's one of the best characters in Disney history.

He's unbelievably funny, coming out with tons of hilarious one-liners and quick comments to shoot back at anybody which makes him really enjoyable to watch. His energy is infectious and his care and compassion for Aladdin is clear to see, which makes him such a great character.
