Disney+ is bringing a new wave of content this month, with new episodes of its original series, some fan favorite movies, the season finale of a popular animated series, and a special look at the platform's most popular and successful series. With the current coronavirus pandemic, the streaming wars heated up, and all platforms have seen a bigger flow of activity and users, to the point where some had to change their schedules, lower their streaming quality, and even release titles way before planned, as was the case of Disney+ with Frozen 2 and Onward.
Last month, Disney+ welcomed a couple of documentaries from Disneynature to celebrate Earth Month, among those Elephants and Dolphin Reef, and more National Geographic shows such as season 8 of Brain Games and the special Jane Goodall: The Hope. The platform also added more movies to its catalogue, including National Treasure and Pixar’s latest movie, Onward, just two weeks after its theatrical release. April also saw the arrival of some Disney Channel shows, like Fish Hooks, season 3 of Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure, and all seasons of Sonny with a Chance.
May won't have any big releases nor any original movies, and will bring less material than previous months, but that doesn't mean the new content isn't worth a look. Disney+ will add more shows from National Geographic, new episodes of its original series (including the season finale of one), and content from Disney’s vault of classics, along with a very special look at The Mandalorian, more movies, and classic Disney cartoon shorts.
