With Hocus Pocus 2 coming up soon, fans are excited to return to the world of the Sanderson sisters. It's a big year for Disney releases, with the live-action Pinocchio premiering in early September 2022 on Disney+. Fans always return to the classic stories of strong-willed princesses and the situations that they find themselves in, and while there are some famous quotes that are never far from anyone's mind, there are also some lines that aren't discussed quite as often.

From exactly what Cinderella's evil stepmother says to her at the start of the film to Alice's sister's speech, there are several lines from Disney films that aren't as appreciated as they should be.

"Now, it seems we have time on our hands."

Lady Tremaine wants Cinderella to clean in the 1950 film

Cinderella in her ballgown in Cinderella

Disney made changes from the Cinderella fairy tale, including leaving the main character grieving the loss of her dad and living with her awful stepmother and stepsisters. Fans are familiar with how much Lady Tremaine hates Cinderella and how the young girl feels banished to clean forever and never see the outside world, which sets her on her quest to go to the ball and try on that magical glass slipper.

It's harder to remember exactly what Cinderella's stepparent says to her before requesting that she clean the house from top to bottom. Lady Tremaine's statement that there is a lot of "time" so of course Cinderella should be bossed around is heartbreaking, as no one deserves this treatment.

"Will you be good enough to explain all this?"

George asks Mary Poppins a question in the 1964 movie

Mary Poppins with her umbrella.

George Banks is incredibly tough and stubborn in Mary Poppins, and while fans know all of the whimsical and quirky nanny's best quotes, including when she makes up words and sings in the streets, some of George's quotes are less well-remembered.

George is upset and confused to see how much fun his kids Jane and Michael are having with Mary Poppins and he wants her to give him a practical explanation of why things seem so chaotic in their home. Of course, Mary doesn't owe him anything and proves her strong character when she says she won't.

"Yeah, when you're 16."

Andy's mom jokes about him driving in Toy Story (1995)

Andy's mom looking downcast in Toy Story

Andy Davis loves Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story and experiences surprise and awe when his beloved toys come to life. While watching these objects speak and become larger than life is fun and memorable, there's a brief scene between Andy and his mom that is underrated.

When Andy says that he wants to drive, his mom jokes that he has to wait until he's 16. While it's just one short dialogue exchange, it's charming that Andy's mom is trying to be funny, as she's on her own and wants her kids Andy and Molly to be happy.

"They popped out of the snow, like daisies!"

Mushu is scared of the Huns in Mulan (1998)

Mulan and Mushu in Mulan

A fan favorite part of Mulan is Mulan and Mushu's friendship, and in the 1998 film, Mushu says a funny quote about seeing the army coming toward them. Mushu is responsible for many lighter, more humorous moments in a story that is about strength, staying true to oneself, and being brave in the face of adversity.

The characters bond and become good friends over the course of the movie, and Mulan knows that Mushu believes in them, which is important given what Mulan has to face.

"You think you can just show up and tell me how to live my life?"

Simba and Nala fight in The Lion King (1994)

Simba and Nala looking at each other in The Lion King

Adult Simba is in a lot of pain after losing his dad, and he isn't very nice to Nala in one scene in the beloved The Lion King. This is tough to watch since Nala has been a long-time pal of Simba's and the two have been through so much together.

While fans remember Simba's big loss and the terrifying Scar, this small scene between Simba and Nala is significant, too. Nala wants Simba to come back to where they grew up as she doesn't like that he is living in a different jungle and forgetting about who he is. It's sweet that Nala knows Simba so well.

"In my day, we had fantastical feasts when I lived in the palace."

Ursula is mad in The Little Mermaid (1989)

Ursula smiles in The Little Mermaid

Ursula from The Little Mermaid one of the scariest Disney villains as she truly hates Ariel and will do anything to hurt her. Ursula's desire to stop Ariel and Eric from falling in love is unforgettable, but Ursula's speech about the good old days explains how evil she really is.

Ursula is a fairly layered Disney villain as she dreams of being as powerful as she used to be and she does seem vulnerable at times. Hearing her remember a time when she was happier doesn't take away how cruel she is to Ariel, but it does shed light on her behavior.

"Will you kindly pay attention to your history lessons?"

Alice's sister tries to talk to her in Alice In Wonderland (1951)

Alice looking serious in Alice In Wonderland

It's easy to forget that at the beginning of the Disney classic Alice In Wonderland, Alice's sister is reading from a history book and she wants Alice to be focused, calm and organized. Of course, fans know that Alice gets distracted by the colorful and confusing world that she becomes a part of.

This underrated quote says so much about the difference between Alice and her sibling. Alice will never be content to just sit still, as the theme of the story is that Alice is a brave and curious person who likes to explore a different path.

“That’s the funny thing about birthdays, they’re kind of an annual thing.”

Rapunzel jokes around in Tangled (2010)

Rapunzel sat outside by a lake, with Flynn Rider in the background, in Tangled

The 2010 movie Tangled is a lot of fun, and Rapunzel maintains courage and a sense of humor despite being trapped in a tower for so long. It would be easy for the character to become miserable and cynical, but she finds bright spots in her days.

While Rapunzel and Flynn Rider's love story is the focal point of the film, Rapunzel's joke about birthdays deserves some attention as it's hilarious and wise. Rapunzel is a classic Disney heroine as she never gives up and makes sure to smile along her journey.

"I knew there's a catch to it!"

Grumpy doesn't want to get clean in Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs (1937)

Grumpy dwarf with his arms crossed in anger in Snow White

Snow White is both one of the most beloved classic Disney movies and also one of the darkest. Grumpy is the dwarf who provides a lot of much needed comedic relief. For much of the film, he says that he doesn't want to take a bath as being dirty doesn't bother him since, of course, he's often in a bad mood.

While many parts of Snow White don't make sense, the relationship between the main character and the seven dwarfs is always heartwarming. When Snow White makes her new friends dinner, she tells them to wash up, and Grumpy shares how annoyed he feels because he doesn't want to. It's a small moment but a sweet one as he can't help but complain all the time.

"That's a rough business to be in right now."

Anna talks to Kristoff, who sells ice in Frozen (2013)

Anna and Kristoff stand and talk in Frozen

Kristoff Bjorgman and Anna have a sweet romance in Frozen, and since Kristoff is an ice harvester, there are many jokes in the film about being cold, being around ice, and just winter in general.

While kids love the famous song "Let It Go" and it's hard to forget those lyrics, Anna's quote has been a bit more underrated. This is a crucial scene as the two characters are getting to know each other and figuring out that they like each other, despite any misgivings and fear they might have. Anna understands Kristoff has a hard job and Kristoff knows that Anna is kind and caring.
