"Speechless" (Aladdin)

In recent years, Disney has made more live-action films of their classics. One that blew away audiences was Aladdin in 2019. This was the first time that Princess Jasmine was given a solo song and broke free of her mold seen in the animated version. The song "Speechless" became one of the more powerful songs to be created by Disney.

The song talks about a young girl being constantly held down and made to live under someone else's perception of who she needed to be. Jasmine sings about no longer letting people dictate her voice and her life. She won't be silenced and made to feel inferior. The song became an inspiration for many to be more independent.
