Quick Links

With so many areas to explore in Disney Dreamlight Valley, it's nice to have a critter companion at one's side. Dreamlight Valley currently offers seven different species of critters for the player to befriend, with an eighth already confirmed but yet to be added to the game.

Each of these species has different color variations that are sometimes only available at certain times of the day. Players can find the list of critters currently available to to-be available in the 'Critters' part of their Collection.

To befriend a critter players must feed that specific variant two separate times. While players do not need to feed the critter their favorite food, doing so will result in a reward from the critter, usually a Dreamlight Valley dream shard or a motif. Four variants of each critter type show up per day in the game for between six and 24 hours, so players will have to be vigilant in order to get the critter they are looking for. Critters also need to be approached in different ways in order to be fed. Once a critter variant has been fed, the player will not be able to approach them again that day.
