Disney Dreamlight Valley lets players interact with a good amount of classic Disney characters, but there are still several great options for characters to add. The characters are arguably the game's biggest selling point, so Disney should be pulling out all the stops when building the game's cast. With additions already planned, there are still unannounced characters that would be perfect for Dreamlight Valley.

Dreamlight Valley is Disney's new entry into the life simulation genre. The story follows the player's main character, who has found their way to the world of Dreamlight. Dreamlight is full of Disney characters, and they are the game's biggest draw, even over the adventure. Dreamlight Valley lets players interact with plenty of beloved characters, from classics like Mickey Mouse and Goofy to more modern characters like Moana and Maui. Leveling up friendships in Disney Dreamlight Valley will offer plenty of rewards, combining a common life sim mechanic with popular characters to create a winning combination.

The cast of Dreamlight Valley is still being built, with a decent foundation and further characters to come. Once the game is more populated, it will likely be the game of many Disney fans' dreams. As for who should join the cast, Disney has a very deep pool of characters to choose from, and there are a lot of valid options to choose from. Among that list, there are a few that could bring something fantastic to the game.

Dr. Facilier Is The Best Disney Villain To Bring To Dreamlight Valley

Alongside the expected heroes and icons like Mickey and Scrooge McDuck, Dreamlight Valley also includes some of Disney's villains in the mix. While they have a tendency to act snide towards the player, none of them are actively villainous. Even characters like Mother Gothel in Dreamlight Valley are members of the community, just with a bit of an edge. There are a lot of popular Disney villains that could join those already in the valley, and Dr. Facilier should be the first in line.

Dr. Facilier was the main villain of The Princess and the Frog, and he is easily the strongest character from that film. A shady con man who uses voodoo to his advantage, he steals the show with his incredible charisma and a fantastic acting performance from Keith David. Facilier's slick charm and theatrical style are traits that are missing from Dreamlight Valley's current slate of characters. Bringing him to the game would also provide a chance to feature a new version of "Friends of the Other Side" as his in-game theme song, paying tribute to one of Disney's best villain songs. The game already has puzzles such as the one needed to unlock Dreamlight Valley's second magic gate, and Facilier's crafty nature could bring a few more to the game.

Facilier may be the bad guy of his movie, but he has far more to offer to Disney Dreamlight Valley than anyone else from its cast. As one of the best Disney villains from his era, adding Dr. Facilier feels like the right move for the game to make. As one of Disney's most charismatic villains, he would be a very entertaining addition to the valley.

Ian & Barley From Onward Would Be Perfect For Disney Dreamlight Valley

Onward box office opening weekend

Dreamlight Valley is largely a life sim game, but there is also elements of an adventure to be had. That setup sounds quite similar to Onward, where Ian and Barley's normal life was interrupted by an unexpected quest. This coincidence would make the Lightfoot brothers a perfect addition to the game, and their respective personalities only make them an even better fit for the Stardew Valley-like Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Ian and Barley are close, but the pair couldn't be much more different. Ian is a bit withdrawn and likes to plan things out, while Barley is boisterous and charges headfirst into every situation. Both of them would be able to transition flawlessly into Dreamlight Valley, with Ian's magical talents and Barley's drive for adventure. Since the game's story still has more updates to come, Ian and Barley would be excellent characters to kick-start a new plotline. Even though they are not Disney's most prominent characters, they would fit the setting like few others could.

Onward has even more characters aside from just Ian and Barley who could make for good additions to the game. The boys' mother Laurel and the legendary manticore Corey also have plenty to offer the game as potential villagers. With players taking up tasks such as Disney Dreamlight Valley's gem mining, Ian and Barley would make for excellent companions on their quest.

Max Goof & His Friends Can Liven Up Disney Dreamlight Valley

As most would likely expect, Goofy is in Dreamlight Valley from the start, and is one of the first characters that the player has a chance to interact with. With Goofy already in the game, there is a great opportunity for Goofy's son Max to cross over as well. Although if Max does get considered, then also bringing his friends and sidekicks from the Goofy Movie series would be a natural move to make.

Max, PJ, and Bobby form a natural comic trio among themselves. Max is the quick-thinking planner, while PJ is the cautious one and Bobby is the energetic wild card. When the player isn't upgrading their Disney Dreamlight Valley house, this trio could provide some fun interactions. In addition, their most famous interpretations as teenagers and young adults could strike a chord with a significant part of the game's demographic, who grew up watching Disney shows and movies and come to the game to revisit their favorite characters. In addition, bringing in PJ would also open the door for his father Pete, one of Disney's longest-lived villains.

Max, PJ, and Bobby would make ideal additions to Disney Dreamlight Valley. In addition to the connection that they have with several Disney fans, their contracting trio of personalities could bring plenty of liveliness to the game. With Goofy already in the game, it makes perfect sense for Max and his friends to make their way to the valley as well.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is free-to-play, and it has the chance to be one of Disney's best IPs. Getting a bunch of the company's best characters together in one game can bring a sense of star power and familiarity that no other life sim has been able to attain. When the time comes for Disney Dreamlight Valley to invite more characters to join, hopefully they will serve to make the valley a more interesting place for fans to visit.
