The 2010s have been an interesting decade for Walt Disney Pictures. We've seen them shell out sequel after sequel and live-action-remake after live-action-remake, but that doesn't mean the House of Mouse isn't still able to make some majorly magical movies. On the contrary, there are a few that have been the best the studio has made in years.

The last decade has given us some of the studio's most beloved characters and films, but which ones truly stand out among their animated peers? With the help of IMDb, we've gathered together a list of the ten best Disney films of this decade.

Winnie the Pooh (2o11) - 7.2

Pooh having a honey halucination

One of the last traditionally animated features released by the studio was Winnie the Pooh and honestly, it merits higher than a 7.2 in our book. While not exactly the most complex or deep, it's a warm and fuzzy movie everyone needs. After all, you're never too old to visit the Hundred Acre Wood.

The plot essentially shows us Pooh and company over the start of autumn when Christopher Robin has to go off to school, and how the friends react. It's cute, funny, and gives us some incredibly clever moments. It might be the lowest on the list, but it's still worth a watch or two.

Frozen (2013) - 7.5

Frozen Elsa Let It Go Song

With its latest sequel, the tsunami-sized wave of merchandise, and the legion of times "Let It Go" has been played on repeat since the film first premiered, how could anyone not know about FrozenArguably the studio's biggest hit since The Lion King, Anna and Elsa have snowballed into a seemingly permanent pop-culture fixture.

It's hard to find someone who hasn't at the very least heard of this movie, but the plot is essentially a Disney version of Hans Christian Andersen's The Snow Queen, with a singing snowman added for good measure. A bit overplayed, but we wouldn't call it an awful experience.

Moana (2017) - 7.7

Moana

We take you now from one princess to another as we trade in the snowy mountains of Arendelle for the tropical beaches of Motunui to visit Moana and Maui. The most recent princess on our list definitely turns the heat on Anna and Elsa, though perhaps lacking a musical juggernaut like "Let it Go."

Moana takes us on a quest across the Polynesian seas to restore the heart of Te Fiti and defeat an angry volcano demon. Did we also mention there's a giant singing crab monster? It's a high-sailing adventure loved by viewers everywhere, and certainly worthy of Disney royalty.

Tangled (2010) - 7.7

Tangled, Rapunzel

Easily one of our all-time favorite fairytale flicks from Disney, Tangled is the studio's take on the tale of Rapunzel. With music by the legendary Alan Menken and similar humor to something out of The Princess Bride, we can say this is definitely one of the best Disney has made in recent years.

It's a Disney princess movie that both pays tribute to and completely parodies the standard Disney formula. It's fun, witty, and has characters and tunes that will definitely win audiences over. Honestly, it's hard to find a reason not to enjoy this "hairy" adventure.

Wreck-It Ralph (2012) - 7.7

If you were to take the concept of Who Framed Roger Rabbit but replace cartoon characters with ones from video games, you'd basically get Wreck-It RalphIn this geek-out-worthy animated feature, our protagonist is actually a video game villain who just wants to be more than a bad guy to beat. Not a bad dream in our opinion.

This movie has more than enough Disney and video game Easter eggs to satisfy the most eagle-eyed fan. The plot is fun but has enough action to fill an arcade of titles. And honestly, who doesn't like the friendship between Ralph and Vanellope?

Big Hero 6 (2014) - 7.8

Big Hero 6 Baymax

If you've not seen this Marvel-inspired superhero flick from Walt Disney Animation, what on earth have you been doing with your life? Though not officially a part of the famous MCU, Big Hero 6 has all the trademarks of one of the franchise's movies — Stan Lee cameo included. And if you've not taken time to appreciate Baymax, you're really missing out.

When five kids and their robot friend have to square off against a masked supervillain, they leave their college student personas behind to become Big Hero 6. It's a fast-paced, action-packed, colorful adventure that's worthy of a high spot in anyone's Disney library.

Zootopia (2016) - 8.0

Nick Wilde with a popsicle on his back

If it were up to us, this would be the number one hit on our list, but we're playing by IMDb's rules, not ours. In this Oscar-winning animated feature, a bunny cop must join forces with a shifty fox in order to solve a series of missing mammal cases when citizens of Zootopia start disappearing.

Zootopia is more than just a buddy cop movie with anthropomorphized animals. It's a feel-good film that tackles real issues of prejudice, bullying, and persecution. If we were to make a list of animated films the world needed to see, this one would be the one to lead the band.

Inside Out (2015) - 8.2

Riley's feelings at their headquarters in Pixar's Inside Out

Speaking of animated films everyone needs to see, we highly recommend this surreal but relevant film from the brilliant minds at Pixar. Inside Out plays with the idea of voices inside our head to give viewers a unique understanding of emotional and mental being. This is pretty deep material for a Disney flick.

Most of the film's plot takes place inside the mind of a girl named Riley, and it gives new meaning to the term "emotional conflict." When Riley and her family move to a new city, her emotions get thrown for a loop as they to keep her happy but ultimately learn that sometimes you just need to let your feelings out in a healthy way.

Toy Story 3 (2010) - 8.3

Say what you want about Toy Story 4, but we think the series should have ended with the pleasant note it had at the end of this Pixar gem. When Andy has grown too old for his toy companions, the friends are mistakenly donated to Sunnyside Daycare. Though Sunnyside might look like fun and games, it turns into a prison run by an evil neglected teddy bear.

The film is absolutely brilliant and like so many of its viewers, the Toy Story series grew up and gave us this film which ended with a resounding finale that definitely hit its fans right in the feels.

Coco (2017) - 8.4

Easily one of the most beloved and most successful films Pixar has released in recent years, Coco has had us going un poco loco since 2017. This marvelous musical trip to the Land of the Dead was an incredible journey through Mexican culture that we would gladly take again and again.

At the risk of sounding like the stereotypical reviews for this film, it's a story about music, family, and love that everyone will adore. Following Miguel through the colorful and ironically lively world of the dead is definitely an experience worthy of our number one spot. You'd be muy loco to miss this one.
