Diglett is a cute, tiny potato-shaped pocket monster in Pokémon GO that Trainers can encounter as a Tier-1 Raid Boss in the AR realm. This relatively docile creature serves as the base form for the multi-headed Dugtrio, which is no different from Diglett in appearance, other than possessing multiple heads poking out of the earth. As one would expect of this burrowing pocket monster, Diglett is a Ground-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO, resistant to Poison-, Rock-, and Electric-type Movesets.
On the other hand, Diglett can be quickly subdued in a Pokémon GO Raid when attacked by Water-, Grass-, and Ice-type Moves. Nevertheless, since it is only a 1-Star Raid Boss, this small button-posed potato mole should not pose much of a threat, even to low-level Trainers. However, countering elemental Movesets against this opponent will undoubtedly make the Raid a much smoother experience. Additionally, it should be noted that Diglett does have a rare Shiny variation that can potentially be encountered after the Raid has ended. Instead of its standard pink snout, Shiny Diglett has a bluish violet-colored nose.
Pokebattler states that Shadow Mamoswine and Mega Blastoise are highly effective against Diglett in a Pokémon GO Raid. However, such powerful creatures are not required for this weak Raid Boss in Pokémon GO, as there are plenty of common pocket monsters who can provide sufficient utility and damage.
