As players progress through Digimon Survive, they will face the boss Arukenimon in Part 3 of this story. Players will find this formidable arachnid is on a mission to sacrifice as many Digimon as possible to a mysterious master. Accordingly, players will be unable to avoid this fight using negotiation. To prepare for the fight, players should make narrative choices that impact the story that will allow them to bring as many allies as possible to the battle.

Before facing off with the large spider, players will meet an NPC with long white hair and wearing a red dress just after Miu goes missing in the dark story of Digimon Survive. The NPC will tell players that the cable car is safe and will take them straight to the top of the tower. Players should note this NPC is actually the enemy Arukenimon in disguise. Kaito is also present during the scene, who advises players that the woman is a monster and they should not listen to her. If players disregard Kaito's advice and agree with the disguised Arukenimon, they will be trapped in a cable car, making the boss fight significantly more difficult.

If players follow Kaito instead of believing Arukenimon in disguise, Kaito will notice the stranded cable car and move forward to help their friends inside. At this time, players can place their Digimon in Digimon Survive at the edge of the cliff, which is covered in spiderwebs that multiple enemy Dokugumon are waiting on. Players should clear out the minor enemy Dokugumon before climbing the grassy steps to fight Arukenimon. By clearing out the Dokugumon on spiderwebs, the player's friends trapped in the cable car will be freed and able to assist with the boss fight against Arukenimon.

Digimon Survive: Defeating Arukenimon Boss

To begin the fight with Arukenimon, players should note that the boss will deal significant damage with each attack, but it does not have a lot of health. Accordingly, players will want to strike as quickly as possible with as many fully evolved Digimon in Digimon Survive as they have in their team. Additionally, Arukenimon is weak to Electric attacks but immune to Psychic ones. Therefore, players should prioritize any evolved Betamon they have in their party to deal Electric attacks and avoid bringing any Digimon equipped with Psychic attacks. Finally, to add a Betamon to their party, players will need to correctly respond to a series of prompts from the Digimon in Part 1 of the story.

Once players deal the final blow to deplete Arukenimon's health bar, the boss will remain alive and escape the area. Accordingly, players can expect to encounter the spider boss again as they progress through the world of Digimon Survive. Later in the story, players will face Arukenimon near the factory area or find the large spider roaming the sewers. When players encounter the boss again, the arena will be different, but the tactic of first clearing the minor enemies followed by striking the boss with Electric attacks should work just as well.
