Challenge Rifts are one of the many available activities that can be completed in Diablo Immortal, and it's possible to earn valuable rewards from these combat trials. Before players can test their skills in Challenge Rifts, they will need to unlock them by completing campaign missions. The Challenge Rift entrance can be found in Westmarch's Palace Courtyard and will be unlocked after assisting Charsi. The Challenge Rift structure is on the right when facing the platform, with the Elder Rift entrance located on the left side.

Once Challenge Rifts are unlocked, players will be able to initiate one by interacting with the stone statue in Westmarch. Doing so will bring up the Challenge Rift screen where players can choose their difficulty setting, invite other players, or join a random party. While selecting the difficulty, the rewards for completing each level will also be displayed on this screen. Completing Challenge Rifts can help with ranking up the Battle Pass in Diablo Immortal depending on what activities are listed for earning extra Battle Points.

Rewards for completing new Challenge Rift levels will only be received after the first successful run. However, defeating the boss on a level that was already completed can still produce worthwhile rewards if players are lucky. When in a party, the highest level completed by any player will be available to run even if others haven't reached the same difficulty. Each level needs to be completed in order to unlock the next one, and they can be unlocked while playing solo or with others.

How To Find & Defeat The Rift Guardian In Diablo Immortal

How To Complete Challenge Rifts in Diablo Immortal Rift Start Screen

As soon as the Challenge Rift starts, a timer will begin moving along the progress meter in the quest tracker. The meter can be found on the left side of the screen, and it will start to fill up when enemies are defeated. Elite enemies drop rift progression globes, so they're essential to completing difficult levels within the allotted time. Unlike dungeons in Diablo Immortal, the boss won't spawn in a Challenge Rift until enough enemies are killed. If time runs out before the Rift Guardian is defeated, then the Challenge Rift is failed and needs to be restarted.

To draw out the Rift Guardian, the meter needs to be filled completely. As soon as players slay enough of the Challenge Rift's creatures, all enemies in the area will disappear, and the Rift Guardian will spawn nearby. The boss is marked by a large red symbol on the map. The Rift Guardian's health and attack power will depend on the chosen Challenge Rift level, and the rewards in Diablo Immortal are also more valuable at higher difficulties. There's a chance that the Rift Guardian will drop legendary items, but it's very low.

The Rift Guardian can be a tough opponent, especially for players trying to complete higher levels. If attempting a Challenge Rift alone, one of the best strategies is to run through the level searching only for Elites to fight. Other enemies will chase after the player, but they can be drawn to the Elites for a quicker fight with a larger massacre bonus. With a team of four, spreading out a bit can help maintain a high kill streak and hunt down Elites more efficiently. However, if players are struggling, it may be easier to stick together to complete Challenge Rifts in Diablo Immortal.
