Showtime is relaunching their official companion podcast for Dexter: New Blood and Screen Rant has the exclusive details. Called Dexter: New Blood Wrap-Up With Scott Reynolds, the Dexter companion podcast will breathe new life into the original that aired in 2013. Dexter: New Blood will premiere Sunday, November 7 at 9 PM on Showtime.
The 10 episode special event series, Dexter: New Blood, takes place 10 years after Dexter (Michael C. Hall) went missing in the eye of Hurricane Laura. Now, he's living under an assumed name, with a new job, in the fictional small town of Iron Lake, New York. Dexter may be embracing his new life, but in the wake of unexpected events in this close-knit community, his Dark Passenger inevitably beckons. As the season 9 trailer shows, some habits die hard, and Dexter is still a killer.
Hosted by executive producer and writer Scott Reynolds, Dexter: New Blood Wrap-Up With Scott Reynolds will flesh out episodes and dissect the characters and plot twists of the new series. The podcast will provide exclusive behind-the-scenes access and feature special guest stars from the cast and the brilliant minds who bring the show to life, including Hall and returning cast members Jennifer Carpenter (Deb Morgan) and John Lithgow (Arthur Mitchell) as well as showrunner and executive producer Clyde Phillips, the writers, and many others. The first episode of Dexter: New Blood Wrap-Up With Scott Reynolds will launch on Friday, October 1, on the 15th anniversary of the Dexter premiere. New episodes will launch every Tuesday for 16 weeks. It will be accessible everywhere podcasts are available including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and on the Showtime YouTube channel.
Reynolds expressed his excitement about bringing back the podcast series saying,

Besides returning cast members Hall, Carpenter, and Lithgow, the cast of Dexter: New Blood also includes some new faces. Clancy Brown plays Kurt Caldwell, the unofficial mayor of the town of Iron Lake with a darkness hidden underneath his charm. Julia Jones plays Dexter's new girlfriend Angela Bishop who also happens to be the Iron Lakes Chief of Police. Jamie Chung stars as Molly Park, a famous true-crime podcaster. And Jack Alcott plays Dexter's son, Harrison, now all grown-up and reuniting with his dad.
