The high octane, demolition derby PlayStation 5 exclusive Destruction AllStars has released, and is filled with unique characters. In four different game modes - two free-for-all and two 8 vs. 8 - players run, drive, wreck, and highjack to score points in a myriad of ways. Destruction AllStars is like a wacky mash-up between Twisted Metal and Titanfall, where players hop in a car and wreak havoc until its destroyed. Once on foot, players can bash other pedestrian opponents, wall run to collect shards to power up their abilities, and try to highjack other players' rides.

With a roster of 16 unique characters (and more Destruction AllStars content on the way) the mayhem is constantly changing. Players will need to be familiar with each AllStar if they want to crash the competition. A character is selected at the beginning of every match and can't be changed until the next one. Each AllStar has their own on-foot Breaker ability and a special vehicle they can summon once it becomes available. Run around on foot and collect shards to charge your Breaker abilities faster – players will only have time to use them a few times per match!

Destruction AllStars made its debut as one of the PlayStation Plus titles this month, so PS5 owners should expect a quick influx of players. There's plenty of variety in each AllStar's abilities, so it won't be difficult for players to find a handful of favorites. It's a good idea to look through all the characters and know what to expect before jumping into the arena. Knowing how each ability works will help players learn how to utilize their own Breakers, as well as know what to expect when an opponent summons their special car. Check out each AllStar and what they can do below.

Destruction AllStars: Ultimo Barricado

Every Destruction AllStars Character

This lucha libre mask wearer's Breaker makes Ultimo Barricado invulnerable to opponents' cars and barges. Ultimo Barricado's vehicle in Destruction AllStars, The Undisputed, has a large shield that deploys over the front end, offering protection and more damage when crashing into other cars. Keep an eye on The Undisputed's flanks while the shield is down, because it only protects the front bumper.

Destruction AllStars: Genesis

Every Destruction AllStars Character

Destruction AllStars' Genesis is built for speed. Activate her Breaker to achieve maximum running speed, and her Callisto vehicle is faster than any other vehicle in the game. Race into an opponent with the Callisto to inflict heavy damage. Don't miss too badly while racing at top speed, though, or Genesis just might wreck her own car on a wall.

Destruction AllStars: Lupita

Every Destruction AllStars Character

Lupita is out to light up the competition with both her Breaker and her Wildfire car in Destruction AllStars. Both will leave a trail of fire behind the player, damaging any AllStars or vehicles that pass through.

Lupita's fire won't give any extra damage for ramming, so players will want to carefully plan when to use it and swerve in front of an enemy's path.

Destruction AllStars: Shyft

Every Destruction AllStars Character

Disappear both visibly and on enemy radar by activating Shyft's breaker in Destruction AllStars. The same thing is possible in his Cypher vehicle, giving Shyft the element of surprise. He's not entirely cloaked though; keen-eyed opponents will be able to see his shimmer.

Destruction AllStars: Blue Fang

Every Destruction AllStars Character

Keep the opposition at bay by activating Blue Fang's Breaker, which knocks down anyone trying to barge him. His Shredder car, predictably, has giant saw blades which will cut through anything in their path. Be careful when using the Shredder's blades in Destruction AllStars because they'll dig into the ground too, and cut down on speed.

Destruction AllStars: Boxtop

Every Destruction AllStars Character

Destruction AllStars' Boxtop is a special kind of delivery person. Players can activate his Breaker to drop parcels that knock down any opponents that come near, while the Boxmobile launches these parcels attached to drones to bombard the enemy with damaging fireworks.

Destruction AllStars: Fuego

Every Destruction AllStars Character

Barge while Fuego's Breaker is activated and he'll leave a big pool of flame in his wake.

When his Destruction AllStars vehicle Breaker is used, the Cerberus is surrounded in fire, dealing extra damage to anything that comes too close.

Destruction AllStars: Hana

Every Destruction AllStars Character

Hana is capable of a one-hit K.O. with a barge when her breaker is active. Hop into the Sabre to use just that – a saber. This indestructible blade will slice Destruction AllStars' competition in half if players manage to ram an opponent head-on.

Destruction AllStars: Ratu

Every Destruction AllStars Character

Clear the immediate vicinity with Ratu's Breaker. A concussion blast radiates out from her, barging and blasting runners and vehicles respectively. Charge up her Barong vehicle by damaging opponents. Once it's ready, her Breaker can be used to unleash a devastating radial blast.

Destruction AllStars: Angelo Avello

Every Destruction AllStars Character

Angelo is the flashiest of AllStars. His Breaker releases a series of flashbulbs that will disorient the opponent by limiting their vision and hearing. The more style points he racks up, the more flashbulbs.

His superiority complex really comes through in his Number One vehicle. The large radar dish on top will track an opponent's vehicle and chase it down with fast speed and increased damage.

Destruction AllStars: Tw!nkleR10t

Every Destruction AllStars Character

Be careful around Tw!nkleR10t while her Breaker is active, as it allows her to barge repeatedly with no cool down time. Mr. Sparkles looks like a harmless kitty car, but he'll put up bumpers and get angrier with each hit. The angrier Mr. Sparkles gets, the more damage he does.

Destruction AllStars: Jian

Every Destruction AllStars Character

Use Jian's Breaker to deploy proximity mines around the arena. Anyone that runs by gets knocked down, and any cars that get too close will take damage. Keep rammers at bay and deal some serious damage by deploying the spikes in the Morningstar. Timing is key when using the Morningstar in Destruction AllStars though, since the spikes only extend for a few seconds before the cool down restarts.

Destruction AllStars: Harmony

Every Destruction AllStars Character

Harmony's breaker emits a supersonic blast when she barges, increasing the distance she can attack from. The same principle applies to her CRASHendo car. Large speakers pop out of the car's top and a supersonic shockwave blasts away anyone in her way. Throwing enemy vehicles into a wall with the blast is a good way to score a wreck.

Destruction AllStars: Xander

Every Destruction AllStars Character

Advanced radar tech allows Destruction AllStars' Xander to use his Breaker and see through walls. He also drops traps for opponents as he runs. Xander's Xero vehicle gives him a distinct advantage over a single opponent.

The Xero will mark an enemy vehicle and give Xander more damage against it. The game also alerts the person who is being tracked, so keep an eye on them and don't let them escape.

Destruction AllStars: Muna

Every Destruction AllStars Character

Muna's Breaker activates the traps scattered around the arena. Run past the traps while her Breaker is active and they'll pop out and create obstacles for other vehicles. Look out for incoming vehicles, because Muna will score some bonus points if a car hits one of her traps. Her Gravitron car has a powerful magnet that attracts the scrap metal that's accumulated on the ground. The scrap metal attaches to the Gravitron and forms a damage-reducing armor.

Destruction AllStars: Sgt. Rescue

Every Destruction AllStars Character

Both Sgt. Rescue's Breaker and his Smoke Commander vehicle utilize a thick, obscuring smoke to hinder the opponent's vision. Activate his Breaker while running and the smoke will trail behind him from his suit. Ramming someone with the Smoke Commander surrounds their car in the smoke, making it difficult for them to avoid Destruction AllStars' obstacles.
