The Wizened Rebuke Fusion Rifle is a reworked weapon that has returned in Destiny 2, complete with a new god roll for Guardians who are looking to get an Arc High-Impact Frame Fusion Rifle. There are only a handful of these types of Fusion Rifles in Destiny 2, and only two others that deal this type of damage exist, but both of them are no longer obtainable. This truly makes Wizened Rebuke a unique weapon in the game, especially with Arc 3.0 on the horizon.
While High-Impact Frames aren't typically the most popular Fusion Rifle options to use, Wizened Rebuke has a few great perk options available to use. Though it may not dethrone Precision Frames in PvP, like the Main Ingredient or The Epicurean Fusion Rifle god roll, or Rapid-Fire Frame at large, High-Impact Fusion Rifles deal exceptional damage in a short amount of time. With the right perks, the Wizened Rebuke severs as an excellent backup weapon the Crucible, or a great DPS weapon in PvE activities.
The only way to obtain Wizened Rebuke is by playing through the Iron Banner activity. After each round, players will continue to level up and earn new Iron Banner engrams that can be focused for a random reward with Master Rahool in the Tower. Both completing Iron Banner matches and earning rank-up packages from Lord Saladin will also reward possible drops of Wizened Rebuke. Unfortunately, this Fusion Rifle is not a weapon that can be crafted in Destiny 2, but Iron Banner engrams can be focused directly into additional rolls once the reworked version of Wizened Rebuke has become part of the collections tab.
The Best Perks For Wizened Rebuke In Destiny 2
Wizened Rebuke is built similarly to the another Arc High-Impact Frame Fusion Rifle called Exile's Curse, so the best barrel and battery perks will remain the same. Arrowhead Brake and Fluted Barrel are great options for a Wizened Rebuke that can go back and forth between PvE and PvP, while Hammer-Forged Rifling is a better option for PvP overall. As a High-Impact Frame, Wizened Rebuke's battery perk should be Accelerated Coils to help decrease the charge time in exchange for a slight damage reduction. Those who are looking to bring the weapon into Vanguard, Crucible, and Gambit activities in Destiny 2 should only seek a roll with Accelerated Coils, but Enhanced Battery for PvE or Projection Fuse for PvP are acceptable substitutes. The third and fourth column traits are where Wizened Rebuke stands out from many other Fusion Rifles:
- 1. Under Pressure/Vorpal Weapon - For PvE activities, this is the ideal roll that should be sought after in combination with the aforementioned perks.
- 2. Well-Rounded/Vorpal Weapon - This combination is a bit more neutral and can be used in both PvE and PvP activities.
- 3. Heating Up/Successful Warm-Up - Purely a PvP roll, this combination works well in single-life activities.
- 4. Under Pressure/Cornered - These perks synergize, but their utility on a High-Impact Frame Fusion Rifle needs to be tested further.
- 5. Well-Rounded/Successful Warm-Up - These perks synergize as well for PvP, but they also need further testing during Destiny 2, Season of the Haunted.
