Destiny 2 Season 15, also known as Season of the Lost, is finally here, bringing new activities and weekly challenges to complete. Many of the challenges in Season 15 will revolve around a new large quest that is comprised of 53 steps called the Wayfinder's Voyage. In addition, Season of the Lost introduces a new currency used for focusing Umbral Engrams called Parallax Trajectory, new weapons, new armor, and more.

Season of the Lost promises to be the most extensive update to Destiny 2 yet, as it is the prequel to the Witch Queen expansion set to release in Feb. 2022. Unlike the other seasons that have been part of the Beyond Light expansion, Season of the Lost gives players plenty of time to complete every challenge. The next Destiny 2 season after this one will launch with the Witch Queen expansion - meaning Season of the Lost will last for nearly six months.

Destiny 2: Season of the Lost Challenges Week 1

Destiny 2 Wayfinder's Compass

New Seasonal Challenges will be issued out every week for the first ten weeks of Season of the Lost during the Destiny 2 weekly reset. These challenges either continue the story from the previous weeks or send Guardians off to one of the many activities in PvE or PvP content. Each Seasonal Challenge grants a substantial amount of XP, Bright Dust, and other rewards.

Wayfinder's Voyage I

The first Season Challenge of week one is Wayfinder's Voyage I, where players must use the Wayfinder's Compass to complete the first step of the Wayfinder's Voyage quest. Additionally, 75 Taken enemies must be defeated. The Taken enemies will be defeated as the steps of the Wayfinder's Voyager quest are completed. While the quest itself lists 53 steps, only the first five will need to be completed. After that, there will be a lock on the quest, disclaiming that the sixth step can be completed during week two's reset. The Wayfinder's Voyage serves as the prequel to the Witch Queen story expansion.

Rewards:

  • 50,000 XP
  • Wayfinder's Compass Calibration Level
Destiny 2 Umbral Wayfinder

Umbral Wayfinder I

In this Seasonal Challenge, Parallax Trajectory will need to be used in order to focus three Umbral Engrams and open three Wayfinder's Troves. It costs 150 Parallax Trajectory to open a single Wayfinder Trove or focus an Umbral Engram. While the new currency can be earned slowly by defeating enemies anywhere in the system, the fastest way to earn 150 is by completing Destiny 2 activities like Vanguard Strikes, Crucible, Gambit, public events, etc.

Reward:

  • 25,000 XP
Destiny 2 Ascendant Anchor

Ascendant Ballast I

This Seasonal Challenge requires players to gather Ascendant Anchors from both patrol destinations and the Shattered Realm. Ascendant Anchors are floating Awoken orbs that emit a Void-colored beam of light into the sky. To complete the challenge, collect 20 Anchors in patrols and 10 in the Shattered Realm. Additionally, each Anchor grants 30 Parralax Trajectory. Many can be found in the EDZ, where the Wayfinder's Voyage I quest takes players.

Rewards:

  • 25,000 XP
  • Wayfinder's Compass Calibration Level

Ley Line Rumors

Ley Line Rumors requires Guardians to align beacons and discover Trivial Mysteries in the Shattered Realm. Aligning beacons will become a routine activity, as it is part of the Wayfinder's Voyage quest. The Shattered Realm mission has three beacons to activate per mission, so completing it twice will fulfill this requirement. The Trivial Mysteries are secret chests that can be found throughout the Shattered Realm only after the Barrier Breach upgrade has been applied to the Wayfinder's Compass - another step in the Wayfinder's Voyager quest.

Momentum Crash

Momentum Crash is a Destiny 2 Seasonal Challenge that appears season after season, taking players to the Crucible. Defeat 75 Guardians in Momentum Control, and earn bonus progress with Zone Advantage. Momentum Control will be active for the first week of Season of the Lost and will make a return at a later week.

Rewards:

  • 50,000 XP
  • 75 Bright Dust
Destiny 2 Gambit Multiplayer Mode

Dredgin' Up Victory

While the name changes from season to season in Destiny 2, the objective remains the same. Complete 15 Gambit matches to finish this challenge and complete it quickly by winning matches. Winning matches counts as three matches played. Gambit can be challenging when playing solo, so it's every solo player's best interest to designate themselves for the needed roles. Defeat the enemy Blockers, deposit five motes at a time, defeat invaders, and get multiple kills as the invader. If someone else is fulfilling this role, it's likely that they're a solo player as well so adjust the playstyle accordingly and focus on depositing motes.

Rewards:

  • 50,000 XP
  • 75 Bright Dust

Challenger's Aspiration

This Seasonal Challenge requires Guardians to complete three playlist weekly challenges. In short, it's playing the Gambit, Crucible, and Vanguard Strikes playlists three times each. Additionally, completing these activities rewards Pinnacle Gear, and with the light level increase, the new season makes it the perfect timing to start earning more of these rewards.

Rewards:

  • 50,000 XP
  • 75 Bright Dust
Destiny 2 EDZ Season of the Lost

EDZ Patrol

The EDZ Patrol challenge is another recurring challenge issued season after season in Destiny 2. Complete this challenge by completing bounties, patrols, public events, and Lost Sectors. The easiest place to start is Trostland, where Devrim Kay has bounties for purchase. Additionally, three Lost Sectors are immediately in the area, with a handful of patrols to follow, and the occasional public event.

Rewards:

  • 50,000 XP
  • 75 Bright Dust

Mid-Range Calibration

Mid-Range Calibration requires final blows to be made with mid-ranged weapons. These types of weapons include Hand Cannons, Auto Rifles, Fusion Rifles, and Machine Guns. Additionally, this must be done in the EDZ, and bonus progress is awarded for rapidly defeating combatants. Season of the Lost empowered Destiny 2's hand cannons for PvE content, making this an even easier challenge to complete.

Rewards:

  • 50,000 XP
  • 75 Bright Dust

Scorn Pest Control

Simply put, defeat Scorn combatants in Strikes. The tougher Destiny 2 combatants reward bonus progress. This week's Nightfall is Hollowed Lair, making it the perfect time to complete this challenge as quickly as possible. Additionally, Scorn can be defeated with any weapon or ability, making area-of-effect like grenade launchers the best option for completing this challenge.

Rewards:

  • 50,000 XP
  • 75 Bright Dust
