For the past year, Bungie has refreshed Prime Rewards month to month in Destiny 2 allowing players to earn rewards simply for having an Amazon Prime membership. The types of rewards vary from month to month, and past rewards have seen players earn anything from Ghost Shells, Exotic Weapons, Exotic Ships, Sparrows, and Emotes. Part of Amazon Prime's membership includes Prime Gaming, the system that allows players to earn this free-game loot. Although Prime Gaming is not necessary to earn these rewards, it's a nice added benefit if it's something that Destiny 2 players already have. Players can redeem these rewards by linking their Amazon Prime and Bungie accounts.
The vast majority of Prime Rewards can be earned in Destiny 2 through random world drops, purchases from Xur, or Exotic and Legendary Engrams earned through the Season Pass and other means. The Prime Rewards that cannot be earned through in-game means are the ones that can be purchased or have been available in the past, from the Store in-game, are items like Exotic Emotes and Exotic Weapon Ornaments. Although it is possible that any Exotic Ornament or Emote could be available for Bright Dust in a given week, the short story is that anyone who has Amazon Prime should take advantage of these free in-game rewards. Otherwise, too many things are left up to chance and it could be months before players receive the weapons or cosmetics that they are looking for.
Destiny 2: All Twitch Prime Rewards (July 2021)
Here are the items that are included in Destiny 2's Prime Gaming rewards for July 2021:
- Merciless Exotic Fusion Rifle
- Break the Dawn Exotic Ornament
- Symmetry Flight Exotic Ship
- Soul Velocity Legendary Sparrow
The Merciless Exotic Fusion Rifle is an energy weapon and is one of the many Exotic Weapons that are still available through the means listed above. Merciless's energy type is Solar, and it has eight rounds per magazine. It's a great weapon for fighting bosses in Destiny 2. The perks that come with Merciless are fixed, and they are:
- Chambered Compensator (Barrel) - Increasing Stability and Recoil at the cost of Handling
- Extended Mag (Magazine) - Increasing the magazine size (to eight rounds) at the cost of Reload Speed)
- Impetus (Legendary Trait 1) - Reloading after a kill increases the weapon's damage for a short time
- Fitted Stock (Legendary Stock) - Increases Stability and Recoil at the cost of Handling
- Conserve Momentum (Exotic Intrinsic Trait) - Non-lethal hits with projectiles make this weapon charge faster until its wielder gets a kill
