Today's media is full of epic crossovers, but Destiny 2 may have earned a spot at the top with the recent addition of the Spider-Man 3 dance emote. The series has made a name for itself by consistently releasing DLC and updates filled with new content, weapons, and player customization upgrades since its original release in 2017. The game's developer, Bungie (creator of the Halo series), has released four major DLC expansions since the game's release. Each release overhauls how fans gather missions and earn rewards while providing more lore for content-hungry sci-fi shooter fans. Bungie seems to be working to keep the game alive and fun, with one of Destiny 2's largest balance patches coming soon.

The list of free-to-play games continues to grow, and in October of 2019, Destiny 2's core game became free to download on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Now, any gamer with a stable internet connection can create their own Guardian and start unlocking abilities, emotes, and shiny guns while saving the universe from aliens. However, in order to unlock the latest that Destiny 2 has to offer, the game's most recent DLC must be purchased. A monthly subscription service is not required to play. There has been enough content to give Destiny 2 players 10 billion hours of gameplay. The game continues to build the blueprint for how to keep an ongoing sci-fi loot shooter interesting to fans.

Bungie's latest DLC celebrates the developer's 30th anniversary, and one feature included in the celebration allows Destiny 2 players to unlock a character emote that Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3 fans will immediately recognize: The Evil Tobey Maguire Dance. A Reddit post from user Gummo2 (via Game Rant) presents a wonderful side-by-side comparison of the new dance to the infamous scene from the film. This Legendary emote, officially titled the Too Cool Dance, can be purchased using an in-game currency known as Silver (bought with real-world money) inside the game's Eververse vendor.

The 30th-anniversary event introduces a considerable amount of content, letting Destiny 2 players unlock Halo weapons. Players who bought the pack can also experience a new dungeon, activities, and new boss fights. The Anniversary pack is available to purchase individually, but it can also be purchased in a bundle that includes Destiny 2's next major DLC expansion, The Witch Queen, which promises to add a lot more content and changes to keep fans playing for many more hours into the future.

More content is planned for Destiny 2 with its supposedly final DLC expansion titled The Final Shape, currently set to release around 2024. Bungie claims the upcoming Witch Queen DLC will be providing new gameplay and story details that will set up major changes and events in the game's final expansion pack. Bungie has managed to keep Destiny fans excited with each new expansion without any hint or mention of the inevitable Destiny 3. As long as the developers continue to add humorous emotes and new colorful areas to explore, Destiny 2 fans will be able to wait a while for the franchise's new follow-up.
