Bungie launched a new "Season of Arrivals" for Destiny 2 on June 9th, 2020. Fresh from the explosion of The Almighty at the end of the last season, players will see the story evolve as the next big bad appears in the Destiny universe. This storyline brings about new features in the tower as players begin the grind for power to fight the mysterious Pyramids now attacking the maps.

The tower in Destiny 2 has gone through several re-designs, as each season brings new emissaries for players to work with to fight the Darkness. The Drifter is re-cast this season as a Vanguard ally of Eris Morn, ready to assist players through the new economy for gear in the Season of Arrivals.

New Drifter Location in Destiny 2

The Drifter is located in the Annex on the western side of the tower. Players can load into the annex drop point, head up the stairs, and find the Drifter's new home and new toys in the tower. Drifter continues to offer Gambit bounties, as well as new Gambit Prime bounties. The first few quests of the Season of Arrivals require frequent visits to the Drifter to progress the storyline and understand the new loot economy. He works with Eris Morn to get players up to speed in the fight against the Pyramid ship enemies.  There are two new machines to help players get loot from the season's new type of engrams called "Umbral engrams." These are purple engrams, dipped in darkness, always at the legendary level of equipment. Players will need the season pass to decode these engrams. First, bring them to the Prismatic Recaster for focusing, then over to drifter's sarcastically voice-controlled Cryptarch machine called the "Umbral Decoder" for the reward.

New Adventures Arrive in Destiny 2

Players will find the link to the new dungeon called "Prophecy" on the Tower map, and it's only accessible from this menu. Players will need to grind up to Power level 1000-1040 to have a fighting chance at this new challenge. Zavala and Ikora will also offer quest line incentives to play through the new season's contents, and their placement on the map remains the same. Tess Everis, the Eververse vendor, has a new batch of seasonal loot for sale if players have enough Silver. Players can also pre-order "Beyond Light," the next major Destiny 2 expansion coming September 22, 2020.
