This season, Destiny 2 players will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite armor set design for the in-game event, the Festival of the Lost. The choice will be between classic movie monsters and dinosaurs. Whichever gets the most votes at the end of the session will become the festival's official armor set.

Destiny 2 is all about finding new and exciting loot to customize and power up a player’s Guardian. Getting better armor in Destiny 2 can help players complete raids with ease. Different loot changes the play style and overall build of a character and the aesthetics, with cosmetics being a big part of Bungie’s new content each season and event. Seasoned players often work hard to collect all the new armor, weapons, and ornaments available with each update.

The Festival of the Lost is Destiny 2's equivalent of Halloween, with Bungie giving fans the option to vote on the main look for this year’s celebration. Based on the images from Bungie, players can choose between two major themes, the ancient dinosaurs that once roamed the Earth or classic movie monsters from old-school horror films. Whichever theme is chosen will be applied to armor for all three Destiny 2 Guardian classes, Hunter, Titan, and Warlock.

Destiny 2 Monster Armor

If monsters were to win, the Destiny 2 Warlock’s armor set would have a design based on the Black Lagoon's Creature with scales and spikes adorning the arms and helmet. The Hunter set seems to be a lizard creature, not unlike the original Godzilla, with rock-hard scales and scaly leather. The Titian armor appears to be based on a Cyclops design, most likely from The Cyclops, with a glowing big eye and furry plate mail leggings.

If dinosaurs win the vote, Hunters' design will be based on the velociraptor dinosaur, with boots that have big claws similar to the velociraptor. The Warlock class armor set is based on the Triceratops, the horned herbivore, with a three-horned helmet and matching leather coat. The best of all is the Titan class’ design, based on the Tyrannosaurus Rex, with a big open-mouthed skull as the helmet and sharp red shoulderblades.

It’s unclear why Bungie has players vote so early, with the Festival of the Lost not set to come out until October later this year. Perhaps it takes thing long to get approval and finalize designs into the game, or maybe Bungie is just giving the fans something to look forward to now that the next major content update, Witch Queen, has been delayed until 2022.
