Season of the Seraph has arrived in Destiny 2, bringing a new weekly questline called More Than a Weapon. This season is Warmind-themed, refurbishing the old Ikelos weapons. Additionally, Guardians can earn some brand-new equipment, as they complete weekly challenges. Before starting the More Than a Weapon questline, players will first need to complete the seasonal introduction mission.

As is customary, Guardians will be thrust into the first mission, called Hierarchy, upon logging into Destiny 2. The opening cutscene shows Ana Bray working to restore Rasputin, with her reluctantly deciding to receive help from her father, Clovis Bray. Guardians, Ana, and the newly awakened Osiris, set out for Europa and stumble upon an attack by Xivu Arath's Hive. After rescuing Clovis, his consciousness is put into a spare Exo Frame that Ana Bray had in the H.E.L.M. The right side of the ship will act as the hub for Guardians throughout the season.

How To Complete More Than A Weapon Week 1

Players can begin to help Clovis in repairing Rasputin, by speaking to Mara Sov at the nearby holoprojector. She will inform Guardians of the location of a submind on the Moon. Players must infiltrate the facility while fighting off Xivu Arath's forces. Guardians will need to open the Moon destination map and launch the Heist Battleground activity. Once completed, 500 Seraph Key Codes must be accumulated.

Core playlist activities in Destiny 2 are the best ways to collect this seasonal currency. The next step requires that Guardians unlock a Seraph Chest at the end of a Heist Battleground activity. Players should make sure to launch the playlist activity via the H.E.L.M. destination map. If the Heist Battleground is selected from a planet destination, such as the Moon, the Seraph Chest will not appear at the end of the mission. Currently, the playlist will send Guardians either to the Moon or Europa, but more planets will become available throughout the season.

After opening the Seraph Chest, players will need to launch Operation: Archimedes. This icon appears next to the playlist on the H.E.L.M. destination map. Guardians must activate a Power Substation, but the way is blocked by Xivu Arath's Hive, led by a large Ogre called Sumok, Ravager of Torobatl. As is common with Hive bosses in Destiny 2, Sumok will receive a shield at 50% health, making the Ogre completely immune to damage. Guardians will need to kill Wrathborn Knights and stand in the green energy pool that they drop. This will allow players to break the shield and finish the fight. Once all the enemies are defeated, the terminal can be activated.

After completing the mission, Guardians will need to return to the H.E.L.M. and speak to Ana Bray at the holoprojector. Talk to Clovis at the Exo Frame and grab a reward for a job well done. Lastly, players must listen to a radio message between Osiris and Ana. Guardians are asked to wait until Clovis discovers another source of submind data, continuing More Than a Weapon next week in Destiny 2.
