Destiny 2 players have once again discovered a glitch that trivializes an aspect of the game, and Destiny 2's latest glitch is perfect for players looking to solo raids. Destiny has perhaps one of the most dedicated communities when it comes to picking the game apart and learning its secrets. Not only does the Destiny 2 community band together to solve complex mysteries with which Bungie presents them, but they are quick to learn how to efficiently exploit Destiny 2 glitches.
As anyone who has played the game knows, Destiny 2 is filled with bosses who have mechanics that can wipe an entire raid if everyone doesn't perform their function. Some examples include Shuro Chi the Corrupted, Morgeth the Spirekeeper, and Kalli the Corrupted. Such mechanics typically prevent a player from soloing the content.
This Destiny 2 glitch allows players to become completely immune to group wipe mechanics. By removing this barrier, a skilled player can take advantage of the ability to fight bosses solo without the largest barrier in the way. However, the uses (as with the recent post-patch Destiny 2 Wish-Ender bug), are limited - in this case, to raid encounters that allow Raid Banners to be placed (the main bosses of Last Wish, for example) and the Tribute Hall of the Leviathan. Sorry, Titans and Warlocks - only Hunters can do this. To pull off this glitch, players will need to have the card shuffle emote, and the Menagerie's Goldtusk sword or the Quickfang. Players will also need access to tons of heavy ammo, which is where Raid Banners come into play, and a willingness to beat their heads against the wall to master the complex series of actions necessary to activate the glitch. The setup is complex, though not as complex as the process necessary to spawn an Arwing in Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The first step is to jump-slash with one of the two aforementioned swords until the action no longer causes audio to play. Next, use the card emote shuffle then summon Ghost and dodge during the emote. Emote again. Jump-slash with the sword and emote again. Once again, pull out your Ghost companion and dodge. Repeat this process several more times and if it was done correctly, a player can enjoy immunity to environmental effects - including nasty group wipe mechanics. Bungie is aware that this bug exists, so players cannot expect it to last long.
Destiny 2 players often find new ways to break the game, whether it be abusing the original Wish-Ender bow damage bug in Gambit or eliminating all challenge from the Leviathan raid's final boss. The Destiny games have many secrets for players to unlock - and when one of those secrets presents an easy way to get loot, those secrets tend to be unlocked very quickly. Bungie will undoubtedly patch this as soon as possible because of the major implications it has with regard to raiding. Destiny 2 players who want to try this shouldn't sleep on the idea.
