Destiny 2 developer Bungie celebrated its 30th anniversary with plenty of new content for Destiny 2. The 30th Anniversary Pack is a welcomed mid-season content drop and quality of life update before the upcoming Witch Queen DLC. In addition, it brings a slew of iconic weapons from Destiny history, like the Gjallarhorn, Matador 64, Eyasluna, and 1000-Yard Stare. These classic Destiny weapons can be earned through the game's new Dungeon, 'Grasp of Avarice,' based on Destiny's old loot cave in the Cosmodrome. In many ways, the whole pack is truly a love letter to the fans, but that isn't any more apparent than when using one of the new weapons from the game's recent 6-player activity, 'Dares of Eternity.'

Destiny 2's  Dares of Eternity takes place in the Valley of The Nine, and its main focus is loot. From this activity, players can earn iconic Halo Esque weapons. The classic Halo: CE magnum, the Battle Rifle, the Beam Rifle, and even the Energy Sword can be earned from completing rounds of Dares of Eternity. These weapons aren't exact copies of Halo weapons, but they perform pretty similarly to their Halo counterparts. Each weapon looks like it was given a Destiny makeover with new names. The Halo: CE magnum has a different name, and it's called the Forerunner. Similarly, the Battle Rifles are called the BXR-55 Battler in Destiny 2.

The BXR-55 Battler is a 450RPM legendary pulse rifle that can be acquired by opening the chest in front of Xur in the new social space 'Xur's Treasure Hoard.' The chest is opened using Treasure Keys, awarded by full completion of the Dares of Eternity activity, or by random drop by leveling up Xur's 'Strange Favor' rank. Of course, the BXR isn't the only weapon that can drop from this chest, but it is currently the most efficient way to farm the gun. One Treasure Key is consistently awarded on full completion of a Dares of Eternity activity. Still, more keys can be earned at random by opening a 'Paraversal Haul,' obtained by completing Starhourse Bounties. The Starhourse and its bounties are located behind Xur in the Treasure Hoard.

Destiny 2: How to Get the BXR Rifle (& God Rolls)

The BXR drops with an un-detachable scope that resembles the Battle Rifle. The weapons hip-fire is also highly accurate, like the BR performed in HaloHere are some of the best rolls for PvE :

  • Barrel: Corkscrew Rifling, Arrowhead Compensator, or Chambered Compensator
  • Rounds: Richochet Rounds or Acqurized Rounds
  • Perk 1: Outlaw
  • Perk 2: Kill Clip or Adrenaline Junkie
  • Range Masterwork

Best rolls for PvP:

  • Barrel: Corkscrew Rifling, Arrowhead Compensator, or Chambered Compensator
  • Rounds: Richochet Rounds or Acqurized Rounds
  • Perk 1: Perpetual Motion
  • Perk 2: Kill Clip or Rangefinder
  • Range Masterwork

The BXR is capable of killing enemies quickly in PvP, thanks to its 450 RPM fire rate. Kill Clip allows the weapon to kill enemies with a  2-burst to the head, while a new perk, 'Perpetual Motion,' gives the player bonus stability, handling, and reload speed while the player is moving. This perk is quickly becoming popular in PvP, as players are constantly moving, and the perk has no downside. As for PvE, thanks to  Destiny 2's biggest sandbox update ever, Adrenaline Junkie has just been buffed and acts more like Swashbuckler. The updated perk allows the weapon to gain increased damage and handling from grenade kills and the gun itself. The BXR is easily one of the best pulse rifles in the game for both PvE and PvP, and players should start grinding for their god roll as soon as possible.
