Astral Horizon is a powerful Kinetic Shotgun in Destiny 2 that excels in PvP content. This Legendary weapon debuted in Season 10 and has returned in Season 20. The addition of new Perks and Origin Traits has turned Astral Horizon into one of the most sought-after Shotguns in Season of Defiance. One downside to this weapon is the low handling stat, making the swapping speed rather high. Guardians will want to focus on increasing handling and range to maximize the potential to kill in PvP.

The Astral Horizon Shotgun only drops from Trials of Osiris. Unfortunately, Guardians can no longer obtain the Adept version of Astral Horizon, but the opportunity may return in Season 21. This is because the Adept weapon drop rotates each weekend of the game mode and requires that players go Flawless in Trials of Osiris. Fortunately, the regular version of the Astral Horizon Shotgun can still be obtained from Saint 14. Once the weapon has been earned as a drop, Guardians in Destiny 2 can Focus Trials of Osiris Engrams with Saint 14 for the gun. The weapon can either be Focused directly, using multiple Engrams, or acquired randomly using a single Engram. Guardians are unable to craft any Trials of Osiris weapon and must rely on a random roll.

How To Get The Astral Horizon God Roll In Destiny 2

Destiny 2 Astral Horizon PvP God Roll Traits Perks

The Astral Horizon is an Aggressive Frame Shotgun, one of only two available currently in Destiny 2. This Archetype means that the weapon is hard-hitting, has high recoil, and increases the rate of fire after a kill. While the competitive Trials of Osiris may not be for everyone, players no longer need to go Flawless to obtain a weapon. Unfortunately, the process of acquiring the Astral Horizon can be tedious. Guardians who spend the effort to earn this Shotgun are looking for the PvP Gold Roll found below:

Astral Horizon PvP God Roll

Perks

Barrel

Barrel Shroud

Magazine

Accurized Rounds

Trait 1

Threat Detector

Trait 2

Elemental Capacitor

Origin Trait

Alacrity

When using a Shotgun in Destiny 2, Guardians will want to increase their range stat because enemies will be moving around frequently. Accurized Rounds is a perfect Magazine choice for increasing range. Barrel Shroud further improves this stat, as well as handling. The first Trait players should look out for is Threat Detector.

This increased reload speed, stability, and handling depending on the number of enemies in close proximity. The second Trait for the PvP God Roll is Elemental Capacitor to increase stats based on the subclass of the Guardian. Players will only want to use an Arc subclass, as this will grant a massive boost to handling. Astral Horizon also comes with two different Origin Traits, Alacrity and One Quiet Moment.

The former is the better option because the weapon gains increased reload speed, stability, aim assist, and range when Guardians are the last surviving member of the Fireteam. For a further breakdown of this Shotgun, players can view a video by IFrostBolt on YouTube.
