Ufotable has constantly been a great source of some of the best-animated shows around, and one need only look at the visual fidelity of Demon Slayer to understand why this is the case. The anime became an instant hit upon release due to its beautiful animation — a constant aspect of the show that managed to elevate its source material and make it a rage worldwide. The battles of Demon Slayer are absolutely beautiful to behold due to the sheer level of painstaking effort put into each and every one of its scenes.

Of course, the battles are just one of the many excellent parts of Demon Slayer — one has to admit that the characters of the show have also proven to be quite entertaining in their own right, with each character arc being quite promising and entertaining in more ways than one. Keeping this in mind, here are all the arcs of the main characters in Demon Slayer, ranked on the basis of their overall quality.

Kagaya Ubuyashiki

Not much is known about Kagaya Ubuyashiki in the anime, mostly due to the fact that the show has barely touched upon this highly intriguing character.

That being said, there's no denying the fact that Kagaya is posed to play a major role in the coming events of Demon Slayer, and fans can't wait to see the role that the leader of the Demon Slayer Corps will end up playing in future events.

Kyojuro Rengoku

Kyojuro Rengoku from Demon Slayer

Given the fact that Tanjiro's new breathing technique was quite fiery, it's very much possible that this technique could be related to the Flame Hashira's technique, Kyojuro Rengoku.

This has already been alluded to somewhat, and it's evident that Tanjiro is going to take some advice from Kyojuro on his new technique... provided that he actually has the same flame-breathing technique and not some entirely new breathing technique altogether.

Giyu Tomioka

However, one thing is for sure — Tanjiro's familiarity with the water-breathing technique means that he's definitely going to spend quite a bit of time seeking out the mentorship of the Water Hashira.

Giyu Tomioka's introduction in the series has already been quite memorable, and it's only a matter of time before he lights up the screen with his presence once again.

Inosuke Hashibira

Inosuke Hashibira from Demon Slayer

One of Tanjiro's new allies whose fighting style is nothing short of animalistic — quite literally — Inosuke's character certainly seems like an interesting one, and fans can't wait to see what's in store for this character.

He might act quite brash and uncouth at times, but there's no denying that his tough exterior definitely hides a rather soft spot for his friends and the lengths he will go to ensure that no harm befalls them.

Zenitsu Agatsuma

Zenitsu from Demon Slayer

Zenitsu is easily one of the most unpredictable characters on the entire show, initially coming off as nothing more than a run-of-the-mill comic relief character... before showing the sheer incredible nature of his breathing technique — specifically, the one technique that he's mastered to a T.

The fact that his combat skills truly come to the forefront after he passes out is a testament to just how much his unconscious has been trained to deal with these massive threats.

Muzan Kibutsuji

Muzan Kibutsuji from Demon Slayer

It's clear that this point that Muzan is poised to serve as a focal — and rather interesting — antagonist in the world of Demon Slayer.

One can only wait and see that diabolical plans he has in store for humanity... although it's clear that — given the manner in which he callously disposed of so many humans in his bloodthirsty rampages — these plans would not really be ideal for the human race in the slightest.

Genya Shinazugawa

Genya Shinazugawa from Demon Slayer

Out of all the Demon Slayers that have been introduced in the series, it's Genya who serves as one of the more unique fighters... especially given the fact that he doesn't even have the ability to breathe properly in the first place!

Instead, Genya attains his power by eating the flesh of demons, allowing him to toe the line between humanity and the demon world to become a hybrid fighter who definitely has a ton of potential in the series.

Kanao Tsuyuri

Kanao Tsuyuri from Demon Slayer

Kanao's introduction in the world of Demon Slayer was a notable one, and it's clear that her bond with Tanjiro is going to be explored quite heavily later on in the series.

Her character already has a ton of mystery and intrigue attached to it, which already makes her a right fit to the landscape of Demon Slayer and the unique yet obtuse themes that lie within.

Nezuko Kamado

Nezuko from Demon Slayer

Tanjiro's precious younger sister was the victim of a demon assault that eventually turned her into a demon as well... albeit one that somehow managed to retain her humanity.

It's this interesting dynamic surrounding Nezuko's character that easily makes her one of the most likable characters on the entire show, and fans can't help but root for a good ending that will include this adorable person getting her humanity back.

Tanjiro Kamado

Tanjiro's fighting with fire in Demon Slayer

The sheer level of tragedy that Tanjiro experienced after his entire family was murdered by demons — save for Nezuko herself — is nothing short of heartbreaking, instantly turning this character into a sympathetic figure and a near-perfect protagonist in the eyes of fans.

From the incredible fights that he's already been a part of to the dormant potential that lies within him — it's clear that Tanjiro is definitely slated for greater things, and one can only hope that he and his sister end up living the life they deserved before tragedy struck their family.
