Demon Slayer season 2 ended strong and hype for season 3 increased with the few trailers and teasers released. The series has been taking the anime community by storm with gripping anticipation. Thanks to Ufotable at the helm, Demon Slayer will stay at the forefront of the anime community for years to come.

While Demon Slayer gives fans amazing action, a compelling plot, and gripping twists, the series is also hilarious. Over the course of two seasons, Demon Slayer has dropped a slew of hilarious quotes that leave audiences howling in laughter. From Inosuke being pure Inosuke to Uzui declaring himself as a god, Demon Slayer never disappoints.

Zenitsu Agatsuma On Family

"Gramps Did Smack Me Around A Bit Too Much, But He Never Abandoned Me."

Zenitsu from Demon Slayer

Zenitsu is somewhat of a failed swordsman as he was only able to learn and master one thunder breathing technique regardless of how hard he tried. Even when his grandfather pushed him to his limits, he could not surpass them. However, tragedy and comedy can easily go hand-in-hand if done correctly, which this moment does.

While the quote itself isn't a funny moment, but rather sad. However, when paired with the montage beating he remembers when thinking of his grandpa and the actor's unique voice, it gets a little ridiculous. The moment is made even more comical when he feels as if his grandpa's training is even remotely similar to the beating he was just given by a demon.

Inosuke Hashibira On Losing

"When You Lose To Someone Smaller Than You, It Destroys Your Soul"

Inosuke Hashibira from Demon Slayer

Inosuke is a physically gifted and muscular fighter who gained strength through living his entire life deep in the mountains. As the self-proclaimed Mountain God, his ego—equal only to his strength—refuses to allow him to be beaten by anyone he deems weaker than himself.

Said to an exasperated Tanjiro, Inosuke is berating Tanjiro while also self-assuring himself about the fight and devastating loss they received at the hands of Rui and his family. Ever competitive, Inosuke hilariously tries to save face by saying at least he was beaten by a large opponent, regardless of them both being severely injured.

Tengen Uzui's Ego

"Listen Up. I Am A God."

After Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu's first encounter with Uzui, in which he had attempted to kidnap multiple female members of the Butterfly House, their opinions and respect for him were at an all-time low. Though he is a Hashira and could take the girls on his mission, the fact that they were all non-combatant medical personnel upset the boys greatly.

As potentially the most self-assured character in the series, disregarding Inosuke, Uzui's title and strength have given him supreme confidence in his strength and actions. His claim of being a god perfectly suits his self-image of being the best, made all the funnier by the fact he is completely serious.

Zenitsu's Love Of Ladies

"This Place Is Full Of Beautiful Ladies."

Demon looking shocked in Slayer Zenitsu

Zenitsu is the lecherous character of the three, with Inosuke barely even understanding the meaning of lecherous, and Tanjiro being too pure to even think of having a dirty thought. With his unique shrill voice, Zenitsu provides comic relief with his utter obsession with any pretty lady he encounters, especially Nezuko.

While on assignment with Uzui, the boys are sent to the entertainment or red-light district to flush out the upper demon moon in hiding and potentially make contact with Uzui's wives. As expected of Zenitsu, he's overwhelmed with the sheer volume of beautiful women around him, just as anyone would on their first visit to such a tantalizing place.

 Inosuke's Work Ethic

"Stop That Crying! And You Snap Out Of It For Crying Out Loud! We're Gonna Train Now!"

Inosuke wielding two swords in Demon Slayer.

In the aftermath of the Infinity Train incident,  Rengoku faced the upper demon moon Akaza, one of the strongest demons, and unfortunately lost both the fight and his life. The loss of Rengoku who saved their lives lead to an incredibly emotional moment for the boys who could only sit there and cry.

Yet knowing this isn't what Rengoku would want, Inosuke, while sobbing hysterically, tries to get the boys moving by getting them to train and be stronger. Yet his false bravado is ruined as he cries and flails his arms sporadically as his sad, yet also hilarious, crying completely ruins his intention of attempting to alleviate their pain through hard work.

Uzui's Unaffected By Headbutts

"Do You Really Think I'd Fall Victim To One Of Your Pissant Headbutts?"

Uzui smiling deviously in Demon Slayer.

Uzui's introduction into the series while relatively short is packed with hilarious moments. During the scuffle between the boys and Tengen, Tanjiro uses his signature headbutt in his attempt to stop the Hashira, only for all the boys to be completely shocked at how utterly unaffected Uzui was to the point he was more upset they were were were tried than taking the hit.

Normally, Tanjiro's headbutt is enough to stun if not completely incapacitate any enemy he uses it on, however, he had never before tried it on someone on the level of a Hashira. This hilarious fight resembled an adult merely toying with children and was an excellent showing of how far the boys still have to go.

Inosuke Suggests A Coma

"Maybe You Should Stay Asleep The Whole Time."

Inosuke spreading his arms in Demon Slayer.

Inosuke, being the lovable idiot that he is, doesn't have enough brain cells to mince words and is always blunt. Whether being encouraging or picking fights with everything in sight, Inosuke can always be counted on for a random and hilarious outburst.

While in the middle of a fight with Zenitsu against Daki, Inosuke finally can see how truly powerful Zenitsu can be which mainly happens when he is unconscious or asleep. It's hilarious that Inosuke openly admits that Zenitsu is significantly more dependable when unconscious and potentially even comments on Zenitsu being quiet for a change.

Tanjiro Kamado Needs To Use His Head

"Use Your Head, Not Just Spirit."

Tanjiro Kamado wielding a black sword in Demon Slayer.

Tanjiro is the main character of Demon Slayer and as a Shonen battle manga protagonist, he is often seen shouting highly motivated and morale-boosting messages to everyone around him. When in the middle of a difficult battle, Tanjiro attempts to clear his frustration by admonishing himself to think things through rather than just charge ahead of the sword first.

What makes this moment so hilarious is the seemingly literal interpretation Tanjiro takes from his quote. He frequently "uses his head" to headbutt both friends and foes alike to calm them down and defeat them respectively. It's funny to see that Tanjiro's pure heart extends to his often literal interpretations of things he is told.

Zenitsu On Betrayal

"So You Were Carrying Such A Cute Girl With You... You Were Carrying Such A Cute Girl With You Every Single Day... And Going About Your Journey With Such Joy... Give Me Back The Blood I Bled For You!"

Zenitsu unwileding his sword in Demon Slayer.

While on the hunt for the former lower demon moon Kyogai, Tanjiro has to, unfortunately, leave Nezuko and her box outside of the Tsuzumi mansion as he expects a difficult fight and knows he won't be able to fight while carrying the box. Upon his victory, Tanjiro finds Inosuke beating Zenitsu who is protecting his box because Zenitsu knows it's important to Tanjiro, even if he doesn't know why.

When Zenitsu does find out what is inside the box, later on, he immediately reverses any hope the characters had in him being a virtuous guy as his jealousy over Tanjiro's sister comes to the surface. It's hilarious to see a character who was once thought to be self-sacrificing become completely insane with jealousy.

Uzui Wants To Be Worshipped

"First, Worship And Praise Me! We'll Discuss That Other Thing Later!"

Uzui smiling in Demon Slayer.

After Uzui left his clan of Shinobi and Kunoichi due to his hatred for their oppressive rules and regulations he vowed to be as flashy as possible, and he more than fulfilled that promise. Uzui's flashiness is all the more blinding when paired with his limitless confidence similar to Inosuke but with enough power to back it up.

While in the middle of a life or death fight against Daki and Gyutaro concerning the fate of the entertainment district, the tension and seriousness of the battle have spread to everyone around. Yet regardless of the tense situation, Uzui never once drops his flashy demeanor and still makes time to draw attention to himself. His hilarious outbursts are constantly used to break tension to give relief to viewers and characters alike and further boost the entertainment factor of the show.
