What makes this episode rated highly by fans is that while it is not the climax of this art, it is extremely well made, especially the animation where Zenitsu cuts the Spider Demon's head with his Thunder Breathing. Fans also get to see Zenitsu's tear-jerking past, which made fans emotional, as well.

S1E18: A Forged Bond - 9.0

In this episode, Tanjiro and Inosuke battle the "Father" of Mount Natagumo's Spider Demons. Tanjiro is pushed away by the demon's immense strength as he unleashes an attack. He stumbles across a young demon, who is the Lower Moon 5, Rui, beating his demon sister, who plays the role of "Daughter."

This episode earned an excellent rating since it features Tanjiro's first confrontation with his most powerful opponent of the season. Giyu, a Water Breathing user (one of the Breathing Styles with the most forms), also performs his techniques, which are animated beautifully.

S2E6: Akaza - 9.4

Demon Slayer Akaza First Appearance

The appearance of one of the strongest demons ever, the Upper Moon 3, Akaza, is depicted in one of the episodes taken directly from the movie Infinity Train. It happens after Tanjiro and his company defeats Lower Moon 1, Enmu, who was already a challenging opponent.

Despite this clip already being seen in the movie version and deemed repetitive by others, it nonetheless earned a high rating, as Akaza is one of the most popular characters in the series. Aside from that, the battle of Rengoku against Akaza also featured great animation, just like in the movie version, which made seeing it all the more exciting.

S3E8: Gathering - 9.4

Demon Slayer Tengen Uzui Badass

In this episode, Uzui fights two of the most powerful demons, Daki and Gyutaro, both of which are ranked Upper Moon 6. However, the poison from Gyutaro's scythe is progressively eroding his power. Meanwhile, because of their injuries and the demons' overwhelming ability, Tanjiro and the others struggle to help the Sound Hashira.

The animation in this episode appears to be a lot more smoother and fluid as compared to the already excellent episodes in the last seasons. As the people fighting involves stronger people and cooler techniques, fans are delighted in seeing this showdown between the Demon Slayers and demons.

S3E7: Transformation - 9.5

DEMON SLAYER Gyutaro Debut

After witnessing his brother, Tanjiro, being severely beaten by Daki, Nezuko helps him fight after transforming into a more demonic form, but she is tempted to kill injured innocent onlookers. Gyutaro, who is Daki's brother and co-Upper Moon 6, is also introduced for the first time.

Viewers were especially hyped after seeing Gyutaro emerge from Daki's back, especially the manga readers. As Gyutaro is much stronger than Daki, fans were delighted to finally see his Blood Demon Arts animated, which did not disappoint, as it ended up being gorgeous in this episode.

S3E6: Layered Memories - 9.6

Demon Slayer Nezuko Transforms

Tanjiro is forced to face Daki alone because he was the first to encounter her, despite the fact that the demon is much stronger than him. Meanwhile, Nezuko transforms into an adult-like appearance and gets more demonic, even overpowering Daki, who has been a demon for a century.

In this episode, viewers get to witness a magnificent battle with Tanjiro using Sun Breathing, one of the strongest Breathing Forms, against one of the strongest demons. The strongest Demon Slayer in existence, Yoriichi Tsugikuni, is also shown in a brief flashback in this episode, which got fans hyped up.

S3E9: Defeating An Upper-Rank Demon - 9.6

The battle against the Upper Moon 6 demons becomes more intense, and Uzui's wives join the Demon Slayers in the fight. Meanwhile, Uzui and Gyutaro clash with their strongest techniques, With Uzui using Sound Breathing, Fourth Form: Constant Resounding Slashes, and Gyutaro with Rotating Circular Slashes: Flying Blood Sickles

The fight scenes in this episode are brilliantly animated once again, especially the clash of techniques between Gyutaro and the Sound Hashira as they demonstrate their skills and power. For the first time in the series, Tanjiro combines both Water and Sun Breathing at the same time, which was a sight to behold for fans.

S2E7: Set Your Heart Ablaze - 9.7

DEMON SLAYER Rengoku Death

As Tanjiro and Inosuke stand on the sidelines, the violent combat between Akaza and Rengoku continues. Despite Rengoku's apparent deterioration as the fighting goes, Akaza flexes his ability to regenerate any portion of his body quickly, even after being sliced by Rengoku's sword multiple times.

For fans, this episode was both beautiful and tragic. In this brilliantly illustrated duel, they were able to watch Rengoku's brave resistance despite being overpowered. However, after speaking words of inspiration to the young Demon Slayers, viewers witness his demise, which made fans exceedingly sad about the Flame Hashira's fate.

S1E19: Hinokami - 9.8

In this episode, Tanjiro faces up against Rui, who is considerably stronger than him and has used Blood Demon Art to slice his blade with threads. In a desperate moment, Tanjiro manages to unleash Sun Breathing, or Hinokami Kagura, which consists of some of the strongest Breathing Forms and is capable of cutting Rui's head off.

It is one of the best episodes not just in Demon Slayer, but in all anime, and it blew up all over the internet. Fans were especially excited after seeing how beautifully animated the Sun Breathing and Nezuko's Blood Demon Art: Exploding Blood was, and it helped Demon Slayer pave its way to making the highest-grossing anime movie of all time.

S3E10: I Will Never Give Up - 9.9

Tanjiro tries unsuccessfully to separate Gyutaro's neck from his body. Gyutaro, on the other hand, rapidly reclaims the upper hand. Before he can do any damage, Tengen steps in and shields him. Tengen then performs the Musical Score Technique, however, due to his state, it is far weaker than anticipated.

Several fans say that it is currently the best-animated episode in the entire Demon Slayer series. This is particularly due to the fight scenes showcasing both Gyutaro's and Tengen's techniques, which were beautifully animated with animation never seen before. Thus, these factors contributed to this episode currently being the highest-rated among all.
