An old prop from Sylvester Stallone's 1993 film Demolition Man has surfaced in an unusual place. The Marco Brambilla-directed satirical sci-fi action-comedy starred Stallone as John Spartan, an unpredictable police officer who is sentenced to be cryogenically frozen alongside a crime lord, played by Wesley Snipes. When Snipes thaws in 2032, he enters a world in which all crime has been virtually been eradicated, allowing him to wreak havoc. Spartan is then thawed by authorities, who need his help to capture the crime lord.Following the success of Stallone's Rocky and Rambo franchises, Demolition Man brought Stallone back into the limelight in 1993 with a number 1 opening at the box office. Though the futuristic film received mixed reviews from critics, audiences enjoyed the sci-fi romp, and it was considered a hit for Stallone. Having earned a place in Hollywood history, the unique movie's props even had a stint as Planet Hollywood decor.Related: Sylvester Stallone's Two Favorite Rocky Movies (& Why)In an amusing twist, an old prop from Demolition Man made its way from the ceiling of Planet Hollywood all the way to a small town in Australia. Adam Howes shared the images of the well-traveled prop, which is John Spartan's nude and contorted body, via Twitter, offering a before- and after-shot of the model. See the images below:

Based on the images, it's clear that the slightly worse-for-wear prop was found in an antique store in Katoomba, Australia. When compared to the 'before' image, the prop has maintained its twisted shape impressively well. However, without the cryogenic bubble it hung in during its restaurant days, it appears he must be tied to a furniture dolly in order to kneel somewhat straight. It's amusing to imagine how the prop could have made it from Planet Hollywood in the U.S. all the way to Australia, evoking an epic journey comparable to Spartan's own.

The future is looking bright for John Spartan, even if his frozen double isn't picked up by Australian antiquers. Stallone has shown no signs of slowing down in his career, reprising his most famous roles in Creed and Rambo: Last Blood. The actor has previously indicated that Warner Bros. is working on a Demolition Man sequel, though no official confirmation has been given by the studio. However, fans of Stallone can catch him in superhero flick Samaritan, which was released earlier this week.
