Warning: Spoilers for My Hero Academia Season 6, Episode 22My Hero Academia's Deku has been off on his own for a while now, but his classmates have decided it's time for him to return home, and they're willing to do whatever it takes to bring him back--even if that means fighting him.
After discovering Deku's letters to each of them explaining his reasoning for leaving, the students of 1-A went to Principal Nezu to get permission to bring Deku back, and even set up a bit of an ambush for My Hero Academia's Endeavor, tricking him into coming to Nezu's office so that they could interrogate him about Deku's whereabouts. Bakugo is the first to find him, while Deku is battling an escaped villain known as Dictator, and the group helps him to defeat Dictator with ease. They tell Deku of their plan to bring him back, but he refuses, suggesting he'll fight to avoid going back.
Deku Can't Do It All Alone
Deku left UA for two reasons: to help the pro heroes draw All for One out of hiding, and to keep UA itself from becoming a target because he's there. Individually, these reasons make some sense, but Deku really hasn't considered his own wellbeing at any point in this decision-making process. After all, using yourself as bait is a risky proposition at the best of times, but if One for All is lost to the villains, it really is game over for the heroes. Deku is simply too valuable to be treating himself in this way, and his friends are here to help him realize that.
While Deku does have his multiple One for All Quirks (and the wisdom of their previous users in My Hero Academia) at his disposal, he's up against 19 of his classmates, which would be a tall order even if he hadn't been pushing himself to the brink for weeks. And his classmates are no slouches either, after all--this includes people like Todoroki and Bakugo, who are at least as skilled as Deku is. Several of Deku's classmates are also well-equipped to stop him in particular, with even someone like Mineta able to stop Deku pretty effectively using his Quirk. Then there's the complicating factor that neither side is really interested in hurting the other here. Deku just wants to continue what he's doing, so his main goal is simply to escape them, while they want him back in one piece.
A battle unlikely pretty much any other in the My Hero Academia series is about to unfold, but will it end with Deku back at UA, or will his 1-A classmates be left to return empty-handed?
