Marvel's The Defenders releases a new motion that features Jessica Jones investigating Colleen Wing's Chikara Dojo. The Marvel Cinematic Universe may have launched in 2008 with Iron Man, but Netflix has since established its own corner of the superhero world with a line-up of original series. Kicking off with the first seasons of Daredevil and Jessica Jones in 2015, Netflix has additionally released freshman seasons for Luke Cage and Iron Fist as well as a second season of Daredevil. Next, the titular superheroes of each show will join forces in the team-up miniseries The Defenders.

Uniting Matt Murdock aka Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Danny Rand aka the Immortal Iron Fist (Finn Jones) in The Defenders are villains that tie together their solo series, with the mysterious new Alexandra (Sigourney Weaver) at the center. In an effort to promote the team-up series, Netflix has released a handful of The Defenders motion posters featuring each character visiting locations from their fellow heroes' series, like Iron Fist at Harlem's Paradise from Luke Cage.

The latest Defenders motion poster takes Jessica Jones inside Colleen Wing's Chikara Dojo from Iron Fist, as the private eye snaps photos of the building's interior. Curiously, a person's silhouette passes by the far right window in the motion poster - which is strange considering the dojo is on the second story of the building and there's no fire escape outside that particular window. Based on the trailer for The Defenders, we know that the four superheroes will face off against Elektra and the Hand during the course of the series - with the trailer featuring snippets from the show's take on the Marvel Netflix signature hallway fight sequence. In terms of allies, the members of The Defenders are bringing in their best and brightest including Daredevil’s Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson), and Stick (Scott Glenn); Jessica Jones’ Malcolm Ducasse (Eka Darville), Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor), and Jeri Hogarth (Carrie-Ann Moss); Luke Cage’s Misty Knight (Simone Missick); and Iron Fist’s Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick). Rosario Dawson's Claire Temple is also set to appear.

Beyond what we've seen in set photos and The Defenders trailer however, it's unclear how certain characters will meet - like Jessica Jones and Colleen Wing. Of course, since The Defenders is ultimately a massive four-show crossover, fans are no doubt looking forward to seeing their favorite characters interact. The motion posters for The Defenders help to tease that aspect of the team-up miniseries while keeping actual details under wraps. So, fans may have to wait for another teaser or trailer, or The Defenders series to premiere, before learning how all these superheroes will come together to defeat Alexandra.

The Defenders arrives on August 18th, with The Punisher coming later this year. Premiere dates for the new seasons of Jessica Jones, Daredevil, and Luke Cage have not yet been revealed.
