As stated before, female N. Tropy comes from the same universe as other-world Tawna and is the very reason that Tawna appears in the first place. With an axe to grind against N. Tropy (F), Tawna tries bringing her down solo, but has no choice but to team up with Crash and Coco for their collective battle. This guide will provide tips and tricks for bringing the N. Tropy pair down.

How to Defeat N. Tropy in Crash Bandicoot 4

Crash Bandicoot 4 N. Tropy Phase 1

Like the fight with N. Brio, this battle is separated into two main parts. Compared to the other bosses, N. Tropy has barely any health to whittle down; just two bars. Using the help of the Quantum masks, players will have to complete a hurdle of flying stone tablets before reaching the main venue. After being blasted away, players will find themselves jumping across a chasm while avoiding lasers from N. Tropy. Akano is up first, giving players the Dark Matter spin ability. Jump and spin-glide across the stone platforms while avoiding N. Tropy's laser beams. The beams don't fire continuously but do lock on frequently enough to be a pain in the neck. Players should double jump a lot, so try not to under-estimate the spaces between platforms. Next up is Kupuna-Wa, the time mask. Slow down time at the right moments to walk across the platforms. The stone platforms are now moving left and right alternatively at lightning speed. Sticking toward the middle or right will make it easier to time each step and slow things down. Keeping to the right or left also makes it easier to avoid the laser beams.

Crash Bandicoot 4 N.Tropy Phase 2

After making it across, the Bandicoot's will arrive at the lab arena where players will run around clockwise and counter-clockwise. Travel left while jumping and avoiding male N. Tropy's vaporizing orbs. At the same time, players have to destroy generators powering red laser beams obstructing the path. Ika-Ika is here for this part and the rest of the boss fight. Ika-Ika is the gravity mask and gives the Bandicoots the ability to flip the very orientation of gravity. The generator may be on the top or bottom, so switch accordingly and use it as a way to dodge N. Tropy's attacks. After destroying enough generators, male N. Tropy will force players to run back the opposite way, chasing behind with a barrier of energy. N. Tropy (F) will provide support with varying electrified orbs. Some will spawn near the ceiling and floor emitting electric arcs, while others will spawn mid-air with an arc of electricity down the center. Destroy the laser generators above or below, and flip gravity to dodge rather than jump over N. Tropy (F)'s attacks. Depending on where players are, the orbs spawning center space will be closer to either the floor or ceiling forcing a slide.

Destroying the last generator will zap N. Tropy (M), prompting his female counter-part to swap roles. Moving clockwise, she will chase with the giant barrier, while N. Tropy (M) spawns the orbs. His are a tad harmless in comparison, and only spawn very close to the ceiling or floor. Simply jump over them and only flip gravity to hit a generator when needed. Once players have destroyed the final generator, each N. Tropy will take a huge zap and fly to center of their lab defeated.
