Greece is teeming with monsters and creatures filled with corruption, rage, and vigor. Among these monsters, is the fabled Cyclops, a one-eyed giant with a bad temper and a mean glare. These monsters appear randomly and aren't always tied to specific locations. Here's how players can defeat the Cyclops whenever it shows up.

How to Defeat a Cyclops in Immortals Fenyx Rising

how long immortals fenyx rising takes to beat

As far as just how many cyclops' exist in Greek lore, they seem to pop up pretty frequently throughout the game. Players will encounter their first cyclops after descending into one of the initial Tartaros dungeons. It's a story-based dungeon so it's not possible to miss it by accident or anything. Fenyx is in the process of collecting artifacts in order to increase her power and ability to survive and the first Cyclops happens to be the first boss to stand in her way in Prometheus' epic tale.

The Cyclops has 3 main attacks when bare-handed. A leg stomp that glows red and unleashes area-of-effect damage, a single fist slam that does the same, and then lastly, a double fist swipe that starts with the left and then the right after a short pause. The Cyclops' moves are extremely telegraphed. The dodge system is fickle and expects absolute perfection.

Perfect dodges are the best way to make the most out of avoiding the glowing attacks. These red, glowing attacks are unblockable so they must be avoided through dodging otherwise they will hurt immensely. A perfect dodge will slow down time and open up a window to unleash a flurry of attacks before time returns to normal and the Cyclops can retaliate. The window of invulnerability is super small during a dodge so try to move to the immediate left or right instead of backward or any angles in between, especially during the fist slam.

The double swipes can be parried so practice landing blue parries instead of yellow to increase the stun meter. Blue parries are basically perfect parries. The Cyclops will pick up large broken objects such as trees or boulders and use them as a weapon. Use Herakles strength to try and grab it before the Cyclops because it has incredible throwing accuracy and its attack range increases tremendously during close combat making dodging less effective. Tree trunks are the absolute worst in their hands. Try to make the Cyclops throw it's acquired weapons instead of dealing with them in combat for prolonged periods of time.
