Warning! MAJOR spoilers for DC vs. Vampires!

As darkness continues to grow throughout the DC Universe in the smash hit, DC vs. Vampires, Deathstroke is boarding a team that may be humanity's last hope. DC has revealed a six-issue companion series, DC vs. Vampires: All-Out War. The new book tells a daring side-story of a ragtag group composed of heroes, antiheroes, and villains embarking on a crucial mission to deal a blow to the vampiric kingdom.

DC vs. Vampires is an Elseworlds-type maxiseries showing a DC Universe that has been infected with vampirism. The stealth invasion has turned the superhero community on its head, fracturing the Justice League. Many beloved heroes have either fallen or found themselves joining the undead's growing ranks. Now that the Vampire King has revealed himself as Nightwing in the most brutal betrayal possible, hope is a flickering flame, with the remaining heroes' options quickly running out.

While readers anxiously await the next blood-soaked chapter, DC has announced a miniseries, DC vs. Vampires: All-Out War, that will serve as a companion piece to the frightening tale. Via GamesRadar, DC provided a first look at the book, which comes from the creative team of Matthew Rosenberg, Alex Paknadel, and Pasquale Qualano. DC reveals the story focuses on a "suicide mission" by teaming up the unlikeliest of crews. Heroes like Constantine, Mary Marvel, and Booster Gold now find themselves allied with Deadman, Bane, and Azrael. In addition to the odd assortment, the team is getting Deathstroke, who takes center stage on the cover of DC vs. Vampires #1.

It's honestly not a bad crew. Despite the seemingly insurmountable odds, every member of the team brings something to the table that may help turn the tide against the legion of the undead. Constantine, Mary Marvel, and Deadman are no strangers to taking on supernatural threats, and Bane and Azrael are exactly the type of no-holds-barred fighters that will be needed to take on such bloodthirsty foes. Even Booster Gold has shown himself to be full of surprises when the chips are down. Everyone has something to contribute, all it takes is the right leader to focus their skills.

Which is exactly Deathstroke's forte. When it comes to war, Slade Wilson has one of the most brilliant tactical minds in the DC Universe. He's even been able to take out the Flash with the proper planning. If there's anyone in the world that can figure out a way to combat the overwhelming forces of the undead, it's him. Constantine may be bringing the team together in crisis, but Deathstroke may be the one to lead them out of it. The six-issue miniseries begins in July following one-shots released in both May and June.
