New artwork has been shared of Deathloop’s protagonist Colt as James Bond, referencing the super spy’s latest outing in No Time To Die. Deathloop has won itself legions of fans since its release, and a large part of that is thanks to the smooth talking and engaging character of Colt Vahn.

Deathloop takes place on the mysterious island of Blackreef. The game immediately throws players in at the deep end, with Colt fighting for his life as he tries to make heads and tails of what is going on around him. Colt has no memory of where he is, why he is there, or even what his name is.  However, there are little clues and messages throughout Deathloop, that allow Colt to figure out exactly what is going on, and who he was when he came to this frigid landscape. One such clue lies in his first kill, where he soon acknowledges that he has clearly done this before.

This skill and penchant for killing is something that Colt has in common with another of media's most famous faces; James Bond, 007. Since 1962, movie fans have been treated to multiple installments of espionage with live action reimaginings of Ian Fleming’s literary hero. From Sean Connery’s debut in Dr. No, to Daniel Craig’s last outing in No Time To Die, James Bond has become an icon in households across the globe. And Bond’s status as a suave and impeccably dressed assassin is something that has not been missed by Arkane Studios. On the Deathloop Twitter feed, new art has envisioned Colt as James Bond, complete with an elegant tuxedo and golden gun. The artwork is still in Deathloop’s playful retro inspired style, and there is no denying how slick Colt looks in his new role. The artwork is simply captioned, “Always dress the part” with a hashtag linking to the latest James Bond movie. The final dressing comes from Deathloop's "Die, Die Again" slogan, which is formatted just like the No Time To Die movie poster.

Despite this Deathloop artwork referencing James Bond and No Time To Die, there is a way for players to actually receive this very tuxedo for Colt in the game. There are variety of in game skins that players can choose to dress Colt and his nemesis Julianna Blake in, other than just their standard base outfits. Colt has 14 unlockable outfits in Deathloop, that are rewarded to players as the game progresses. However, one particular outfit that comes with Deathloop’s Deluxe Edition is the “Party Crasher,” and it is clearly this ensemble that Colt is wearing in the James Bond artwork.

Deathloop has been out for just shy of a month now, and fans are still reveling in Blackreef’s debauched party world. While James Bond has never been stuck in a time loop quite like Colt has, there is no doubt that Her Majesty’s top agent would still be impressed by this very dapper homage to him.
