Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima is continuing to tease his first project since leaving Konami. The enigmatic director posted yet another Death Stranding teaser image onto Instagram. Featuring the word "Bridges," and a logo that's seemingly a star made out of spider webs, it doesn't exactly make the game's previous trailers make anymore sense. The PlayStation 4 exclusive is still very much wrapped in mystery.

Sony has already announced that Death Stranding will not only make an appearance at the company's yearly E3 press conference, but that it will be one of their four main titles they'll be showcasing alongside Sucker Punch's Ghost of Tsushima, Spider-Man by Insomniac Games, and Naughty Dog's The Last of Us Part II. That means not only is a new trailer of the mysterious game expected to be seen, but that some extended footage is a possibility. Whatever Hideo Kojima winds up showing, though, it will almost certainly leave viewers with more questions than answers.

This isn't the first time that players have seen the "Bridges" branding or logo within Death Stranding. A sketch of Kojima Productions' mascot Ludens, who may or may not have some sort of involvement within Death Stranding, featured the word on the character's suit, and Guillermo del Toro's character wore a badge with the name on it. It appears to be some sort of organization, as it was also seen on the hazard suits of two characters in the game's 2017 trailer as well.

There are more unknowns than known qualities about Death Stranding at this point, and the continuing tease of "Bridges" just adds to the mystery. It would seem like more about the organization will be revealed during Sony's E3 2018 press conference, but it could also be some early misdirection by Kojima. Either way, Kojima wouldn't be teasing so much if he didn't have a big unveil planned.

There are high expectations for Death Stranding, and it's not just because of Kojima's past work. His all-star list of collaborators have talked about how wowed they are with the project. Norman Reedus, who stars as the game's protagonist Sam, said the concept was "mind blowing," and Kong: Skull Island director Jordan Vogt-Roberts described its cutscenes as being so captivating that they'll "melt your eyeballs." That's some impressive praise from some big names in the entertainment industry, and Kojima will look to capitalize upon it at E3 2018.
