The Merc With a Mouth has been running his mouth as he promises Deadpool fans a "big, pink surprise" if they watch FX tonight (April 3).

Although Tim Miller's record-breaking movie has been out for a couple of years now, the original Deadpool is only just making its TV debut on FX. Reliving Ryan Reynolds as the sass-mouthed mercenary and cutting through his enemies like a knife through hot butter promises to be just as thrilling as it was in 2016. Now, however, audiences have another reason to tune in.

Over on the official Deadpool Movie Twitter, the account shared a picture of Wilson's signature love heart pose and the promise of a (non-filthy) surprise coming everyone's way (see the photo below). Given that Deadpool went on to become the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time globally, is anyone really believing that it won't be some sort of smutty surprise airing alongside the movie? 20th Century Fox is known for its viral marketing when it comes to promoting Deadpool, but fans are suitably stumped on what is coming their way when they tune in to the network. A sneak peek at David Leitch's Deadpool 2 seems like the obvious answer, but that film only just got a new trailer recently.

Let the speculation begin, but with an emphasis on the color pink, there could be a couple of obvious options. Notably, the comic book character Gwenpool is known for her Pink suit, meaning that Deadpool might be teasing something related to the character. Elsewhere, fans are still dying to know more about the pink-haired mutant who made her debut in the latest batch of Deadpool 2 footage, so a name or a little more information about her could be a big surprise. Shioli Kutsuna is playing the newcomer who is presumably part of the X-Force, but while many are convinced she is the character Surge, FX could use her as a "pink surprise."

Also, with rumors of a super secret cameo in Deadpool 2, the chances of ruining surprise as big as that are also particularly slim. Considering that FX has only just parted ways with Donald Glover over Deadpool: The Animated Series, it seems safe to say that the surprise won't be the announcement that the show is happening with someone new at the helm. Thankfully, with only a few hours to go before Wade Wilson's big announcement, fans don't need to place their bets in the dead pool to see what is coming next.
