Deadpool is turning thirty and Marvel is celebrating with a special anniversary issue! The Merc with a Mouth gains another year of age this year, hitting a big marker. The previews for the issue show that no expense is being spared.

Thirty years ago, Deadpool made his first comic appearance. He was co-created by Fabian Nicieza and Rob Liefeld. Since then, many creative teams have written stories for the mercenary. Joe Kelly had a run in the nineties, as did Gail Simone. In 2008, Daniel Way worked with Paco Medina for an arc, which was followed by the team of Brian Posehn and Gerry Duggan. Skottie Young and Frank Tien took the helm after Gerry Duggan, with Kelly Thompson working on the most recent run. Now, Deadpool is getting his own birthday special.
