Walter Scobell, who plays a younger version of Ryan Reynolds in The Adam Project, features in a new Deadpool 3 fan poster as Kidpool. The Adam Project, which landed on Netflix last week, sees Reynolds playing a time-traveling pilot. In the sci-fi/adventure film, Reynolds' Adam goes back in time to team up with his younger self in order to save his lost wife and stop an evil dictator from taking control in the future. Fans and critics alike have praised The Adam Project film for its heartfelt themes and strong performances, particularly from the Young Adam, Walker Scobell.

After directing Reynolds in 2020's Free Guy, Shawn Levy teamed up with the actor once more for The Adam Project. The two partnerships have evidently been positive experiences for both parties, as Levy was also recently announced as the director for the long-awaited Deadpool 3. Reynolds himself acknowledged the news on Instagram, posting an edited poster for The Adam Project featuring Guy from Free Guy and Deadpool with the playful caption, "The third film in my Shawn Levy trilogy will be a tad more stabby."

In a new poster for Deadpool 3 from renowned artist bosslogic on Instagram, Reynolds' Deadpool is seen teaming up with Scobell's Kidpool in what the artist imagines as a wacky, multiverse-themed third outing for the character. In addition to Kidpool, the poster features Doctor Strange's Mystic Arts portals, Spider-Man, and even an appearance from Hugh Jackman's Wolverine. The new poster comes not long after Scobell recited a cuss-laden monologue from Deadpool 2 (a favorite movie of his) entirely from memory during an interview for The Adam Project. As proven by Scobell's performance in the Netflix movie and his impressive Deadpool speech, the young actor is clearly able to capture Reynolds' signature comedic style and mannerisms, making it no surprise that the artist has imagined the character as Kidpool in the upcoming Deadpool 3. While looking very similar to Reynolds' Deadpool in the poster, Kidpool does feature a pair of black converse, which is what Scobell's Young Adam character appears to wear throughout most of The Adam Project.

Much is still unknown about the upcoming Deadpool 3, but considering the can of worms that has been opened with Spider-Man: No Way Home in terms of the introduction of the multiverse into the MCU, it seems likely that the film will deal with this in some sort of comedic way. Deadpool's talent for breaking the fourth wall, poking fun at his superhero contemporaries, and referencing Reynolds' own past movies makes an appearance from Scobell not necessarily the most outlandish suggestion. With Deadpool 3 still in the very early stages of development, however, it will likely be quite a while before audiences get their first taste of the project. For now, fans can watch Reynolds and Scobell in The Adam Project, which is now available on Netflix.
