Pan was met with overwhelmingly negative reviews in just about every capacity and was considered a box office flop. Flushed Away was met with positive reviews and earned a cult following despite its relatively low box office numbers, which barely outearned the large production budget. The film was the less profitable of Jackman's two animated features in 2006 and has therefore influenced his career very little in the following years.

Real Steel dazzled audiences with its Academy Award-nominated special effects but didn't leave much of an impact in any other capacity.
