Ryan Reynolds trolls Brad Pitt with a cheeky behind the scenes photo from Deadpool 2 referencing Pitt's cameo as Vanisher. Reynolds first played the foul-mouthed Wade Wilson in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but fans would likely be forgiven if they didn't remember that, seeing as Deadpool's first onscreen appearance didn't do him justice. Luckily, Reynolds got his second shot at bringing Wade to the big screen with 2016's Deadpool, a raunchy fourth wall-breaking film that quickly became a huge hit with audiences. Two years later, Reynolds returned for the sequel Deadpool 2, which was just as well-received as the first.

Fans might remember that Deadpool 2 featured some pretty amazing cameos, including a blink-and-you'll-miss-it one from Pitt. Pitt played Vanisher, a new member of Wade's X-Force team who is entirely invisible. That means when he's first introduced onscreen, the audience doesn't see him at all. It isn't clear exactly who Vanisher is until the moment he (spoiler alert) dies by colliding into power lines. As he's electrocuted, his face flickers into existence quick enough for fans to realize it's in fact Pitt.

Reynolds (who could honestly make a second career out of being a professional troll) poked fun at Pitt's quick cameo in a post to his Instagram story. Reynolds shared a picture of him and Pitt together with the caption, "Worked with a lot of great bit players. This guy played 'Vanisher'." The catch? Only half of Pitt's face is actually visible. You can see the hilarious image down below.

As mentioned before, Reynolds is no stranger to poking fun at other celebrities. In fact, it's probably one of the reasons he makes such a good Deadpool, since his wise-cracking personality fits right in with Wade's characterization. Most recently, Reynolds got some good laughs out of fans by crashing the virtual X-Men reunion that featured Patrick Stewart and Reynolds' "enemy" Hugh Jackman. Odds are, fans hope Reynolds will never stop with his jokes and harmless trolling behavior.

Right now, fans are impatiently waiting for a new update on the state of Deadpool 3. Since Disney has purchased Fox, it seems like any new Deadpool movie will be set within the MCU, which is a decidedly family-friendly territory. However, there's still hope that Deadpool will remain an R-rated property, and back in December, Reynolds revealed Deadpool 3 is in development at Marvel Studios. Since then, though, there hasn't been much news, and Deadpool's creator Rob Liefeld cast some doubt on the film's progress. Of course, that doesn't mean things have fully ground to a halt; based on the success of Deadpool 2, it would be silly of Marvel to leave the character behind. Hopefully a new update will arrive soon.
