A brand-new poster for Deadpool 2 unites the film's main anti-heroes - but only Wade looks happy with the situation. For fans of Fox's X-Men universe, Deadpool 2 is now the only movie arriving this year. X-Men: Dark Phoenix was pushed back to 2019, causing The New Mutants to move once again. Luckily, Deadpool 2 is arriving sooner than originally planned and it won't be long now until the Merc with a Mouth is back on the big screen.

Earlier today, we got a new Deadpool 2 'Green Band' trailer that attempted to sanitize the film a bit. Along with a recap of the first movie, the trailer added at least one new joke and teased that there should be plenty of extras when the film hits home video. So far, much of the promotion has naturally focused on Deadpool himself, but we've been slowly seeing just how many mutants will be in the new movie. Along with a number of supporting characters pulled straight from the comics, Deadpool 2 will introduce live-action versions of Cable and Domino ahead of X-Force. Now, a new poster for the film brings the unlikely trio together.

Black Film has the new international poster for Deadpool 2, which features Wade pulling Domino and Cable into an uncomfortable hug. Though no one can really match the manic intensity of Wade Wilson, Domino and Cable will be particularly at odds with the absurd assassin as neither is known for their sense of humor. Of course, that contrast should make for an entertaining experience for the audience.

Thanks to the new Deadpool 2 trailer, we finally have an idea of what Cable is after. The mysterious kid in Deadpool 2 is clearly some sort of threat and Cable has traveled a long way to deal with him. It's not yet clear if the kid is a play on one (or more) particular character from the comics, but he seems to be what pitts Wade and Cable against one another.

What's less clear is how exactly Domino and all the other mutants that have popped up in the film's marketing will factor in. Along with the X-Men, the nascent X-Force look to play a sizable role in the film. Perhaps they're all mutants captured in the family who break out of the facility where Wade and Cable first fight. Given the irreverence of the film, the promotion so far has mostly focused on humor and action rather than many plot specifics. Luckily, that means there will be plenty of surprises left when Deadpool 2 lands in theaters this summer.
