A recent picture of Josh Brolin has caught the eye of Cable and Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld. Actors take time physically transforming themselves to become the characters they play. One of the more impressive recent transformations has been seen in Brolin who had another photo of his physique as Cable shared on social media. The actor has shared multiple pictures of himself via social media for both dedicated X-Men fans and people waiting for Deadpool 2 news.
Brolin has even become a part of the Prevail Activewear line, using his muscles to promote new activewear. This new photo, however, has Liefield inspired to create a future cover and it is sort of hilarious, proving that Brolin is fit wherever he goes.
Originally taken by Kathryn Brolin, the photo is sort of funny with Cable standing next to a box saying cable. The tagline #Cableswole is Brolin's creation. The actor has been taking to social media to share his workouts and using that hashtag. The actor has the support of fans despite his presence in the MCU as the villain Thanos in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, but his dedication to the role and constant social media updates have won even more fan acclaim.
Lifted from the feed of @kathrynbrolin, (apologies for the theft) this is an incredible pic that I had to display. Might have to incorporate this into a future cover @joshbrolin #cable #cableswole #xforce #deadpool #robliefeld #prevailactivewear
As far as physical transformations go, Brolin may find himself competing against fellow X-Men actor Hugh Jackman, eventually. The Australian famously got shredded for his work as Wolverine in the character's solo films X-Men Origins: Wolverine, The Wolverine, and Logan, as well as his work in the ensemble X-Men: Days of Future Past. From the look of things, Brolin's transformation may be on par with Jackman's but that's debatable. Still, it leaves one curious as to what his co-workers are doing to get in shape and just what they think of their friend's transformation.
While the actor is obviously putting in the work to create Cable beyond getting ripped, seeing the physical work that goes into creating such an important character continues to set high expectations for actors looking to take on these larger-than-life superhero and comic book character roles. Hopefully, Brolin's work will also inspire others to get "swole" just like he did. Fans will have to wait to find out whether or not all that hard work results in a terrific performance in the upcoming Deadpool 2.
