Is Deadly Class season 2 happening, and if so, when will it release? Hot on the heels of the Deadly Class season 1 finale, fans are wondering if Deadly Class season 2 is going to happen in the future, especially considering the show's popularity as well as the fact that there are still plenty of stories left to tell about Kings Dominion and the misfit group of would-be assassins, gang leaders, and cartel kings.
Based on the comic series of the same name by Rick Remender and Wesley Craig, the Deadly Class TV show was developed for Syfy by Remender and Miles Orion Feldsott, and it premiered in January 2019. Starring Benjamin Wadsworth as Marcus Arguello, Lana Condor as Saya Kuroki, María Gabriela de Faría as Maria Salazar, Luke Tennie as Willie Lewis, Liam James as Billy Bennett, and more, Deadly Class is one of the network's most ambitious dramas to release since their 2015 revamp.

While the Deadly Class TV show premiered to modest ratings, it wasn't the juggernaut that Syfy was perhaps hoping it would be. However, Deadly Class has maintained decent ratings throughout season 1 and even saw huge increases in the following days after each episode, even seeing the biggest gains in live+7 ratings in recent weeks. And this all bodes well for Deadly Class season 2 happening.
Deadly Class Season 2 Release Date
Deadly Class season 2 hasn't officially been ordered by Syfy yet, but it seems like almost a guarantee at this point. Remender himself is extremely confident that Deadly Class season 2 is going to happen because the show itself is incredibly popular. Furthermore, he's already in the process of creating season 2's story (via Twitter). With that in mind, and considering that Deadly Class effectively replaced The Expanse on Syfy, the Deadly Class season 2 release date should be set for early 2020 - presumably in January. As long as Deadly Class season 2 starts filming by late spring, then there's no reason it shouldn't debut at the start of the new year.
Deadly Class Season 2 Story
While it seems that the events of Deadly Class season 1 may leave things rather difficult for the student of Kings Dominion, the story can indeed go on. Deadly Class is, after all, an adaptation of a comic book series, so it would make sense for Deadly Class season 2 to take inspiration from the next story arc.
Of course, it's a bit difficult to narrow down exactly what Syfy and Remender will adapt for Deadly Class season 2, seeing as parts of later comic issues have already been brought into the fold. But an intriguing story arc would be to wrap up "Snake Pit" and move through "Die For Me", "Carousel" (which would be great for Saya fans), and "Love Like Blood".
At the moment, it's unclear if Deadly Class season 2 will certainly happen, but if it does, the story can go in several different directions. With that in mind, though, fans of the main group of characters should be both excited and scared about their futures on Deadly Class and at Kings Dominion.
