Dead to Me season 2 cast sees several returning actors but also a few series newcomers, not to mention some surprises along the way. The Netflix dark comedy (also referred to as a "traumedy") was created by Liz Feldman and is notably produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay.
Dead to Me season 1 ended with a cliffhanger involving the death of Steve Wood at the hands of Jen Harding. Despite previously banishing Judy Hale from her life, Jen turns to her in this dark time of need. Dead to Me season 2 deals with the fallout of Steve's death as the two women try to cover it up while hiding their other secrets. As new faces emerge, it becomes harder and harder to keep the truth from those they love the most.
Dead to Me season 2 features most of the main characters from the previous season. Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini still headline the series but they will be joined by a few new cast members. James Marsden also makes his return but in an entirely different role. James Marsden as Ben Wood: The identical twin of Steve who comes to town after his brother's disappearance. Aside from portraying Steve in season 1, Marsden is best known for playing Cyclops in the X-Men franchise as well as roles in Enchanted, 27 Dresses, The Butler, Westworld, and Sonic the Hedgehog.
Natalie Morales as Michelle: A woman that Judy meets through her work. Morales would be recognized for her past roles in Parks and Recreation, Trophy Wife, The Grinder, Santa Clarita Diet, and Abby's.
Sadie Stanley as Parker: Charlie's love interest and social media influencer. The young actress recently appeared in the Kim Possible TV movie and The Goldbergs.
Francis Conroy as Eileen Wood: Steve and Ben's rich mother. Conroy's most notable roles include her work in Six Feet Under, How I Met Your Mother, and American Horror Story. She recently appeared in Joker as Penny Fleck.
Jere Burns as Howard Hastings: The local chief of police who has connections to the Steve. Burns has dozens of acting credits under his belt but his most popular roles are from Dear John, Burn Notice, and Justified.
Katey Sagal as Judy's mother: Judy's long lost mother who is currently in jail. Sagal is best known for Futurama, 8 Simple Rules, and Sons of Anarchy, a role which won her a Golden Globe award. The actress also worked alongside Christina Applegate in Married...with Children.

Christina Applegate as Jen Harding: A recent widow who killed Judy's ex-fiancé, Steve. Applegate is remembered for playing Kelly Bundy in Married...with Children as well as roles in Friends, Jesse, Samantha Who?, Up All Night, and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.
Linda Cardellini as Judy Hale: Jen's best friend who also was involved in the hit-and-run death of Jen's husband, Ted. Cardellini is most recognized for her work in Freaks and Geeks, ER, Bloodline, Mad Men, and multiple installments of the MCU.
Sam McCarthy as Charlie Harding: Jen's oldest son going through a rebellious stage. Harding previously worked in The Blacklist and Condor.
Luke Roessler as Henry Harding: Jen's younger son who is struggling with the loss of his father. The actor recently appeared in Deadpool 2, Riverdale, Legion, and It Chapter Two.
Diana-Maria Riva as Ana Perez: The detective who investigated Ted's death. The actress had prominent roles in Party of Five, NYPD Blue, The Good Guys, The Bridge, Telenovela, and Sunnyside.
Brandon Scott as Nick Prager: The off-duty police detective that took an interest in Judy. Scott is best known for TV shows like Grey's Anatomy, 13 Reasons Why, and This Is Us.
Max Jenkins as Christopher Doyle: Jen's real estate business partner and close friend of the Harding family. Jenkins recently appeared in The Mysteries of Laura, Orange Is the New Black, and High Maintenance.
Valerie Mahaffey as Lorna Harding: Jen's mother-in-law and fellow real estate agent. The Emmy award-winning actress is best known for her roles in Northern Exposure, Wings, Desperate Housewives, and Devious Maids.
Adora Soleil Bricher as Shandy Adams: Henry's classmate and very odd friend. Bricher also appeared in The Big Bang Theory, Emma, and Baskets.
Suzy Nakamura as Karen: Jen's nosy neighbor. Nakamura's past roles include The West Wing, How I Met Your Mother, Dr. Ken, Avenue 5, and Modern Family.
