Just in time for Halloween, Behaviour Interactive has revealed that Dead by Daylight is adding more Silent Hill content with two new costumes that turn Pyramid Head into putrid matter, and Cheryl Mason into James Sunderland, Silent Hill 2's tragic and ambiguous protagonist. Last month a leak by a notable user revealed that James Sunderland would appear in Dead By Daylight as a legendary cosmetic for Silent Hill 3's Chery Mason. This was confirmed with a character portrait and more than 11 minutes of audio logs of the character encrypted and later found in the game's files.

The popular asymmetrical multiplayer survival horror title that has brought together some of the most iconic horror film killers of all time collaborated with Konami to bring the Silent Hill Chapter DLC to Dead By Deadlight in 2020. This content pack introduced the harrowingly brutal Pyramid Head from Silent Hill 2 as a new killer alongside its additional survivor, Silent Hill 3's courageous protagonist Cheryl Mason. A new map,  the Midwich Elementary School from the original Silent Hill game was also added, giving long-time fans content from the first three installments of the survival horror franchise with an officially licensed DLC pack.

In addition to the Silent Hill chapter, Behaviour Interactive has revealed even more Silent Hill content for Dead By Daylight, with two new costumes sets available via the in-game store. The first is the very rare Pyramid Blight Set for Pyramid Head which shows the executioner augmented with a searing dose of putrid serum that has his blade and body dripping with rotting matter. Additionally, the franchise's most popular and complicated protagonist, James Sunderland is returning as a legendary cosmetic costume for Cheryl Manson, in addition to previous Silent Hill-themed costumes which included Cybil Bennet, Lisa Garland, and Alessa Gillespie.

While these costumes make a phenomenal addition for Silent Hill fans, Dead by Daylight's ongoing The Midnight Grove Halloween event offers players even more. Those who participate will be able to unlock spooky special outfits and charms over the two-week duration of the event as well as witness Halloween-themed maps, loading screens, hooks, generators, and other themed items all available through the Bloodweb. The Midnight Grove also introduces Mikaela Reid to Dead by Daylight, a new survivor with supernatural abilities and specially written stories featured during the event.

Halloween is officially here and Dead By Daylight is offering heaps of content for returning and new players who are looking into starting the game. While additional Silent Hill content has been added to the title, more could be possibly planned for the future, as the asymmetrical multiplayer survival horror title continues to be regularly updated.
