Cheryl Mason is a character in Silent Hill before being introduced to the Dead By Daylight game. She was plagued with guilt after her adoptive father Harry's death and got a job at a crisis intervention center for troubled youth to help deal with her guilt. While working there she gets a call from Claudia, a Silent Hill Villian whom Cheryl thought was dead. Cheryl blacks out and awakens in the Dead By Daylight universe, where it seems The Entity has chosen her as another survivor.

Soul Guard allows players to gain the Endurance status effect for 8 seconds after being healed or having recovered from the Dying State on Tier III. The Endurance status effect grants the player the ability to resist one hit, which is extremely useful when running away from the killer. Soul Guard is unique in which it also helps the player out when their survivor is affected by the Cursed status effect, making the survivor able to fully recover from the dying state without outside player assistance. Which Cursed status effect they may suffer from depends on the killer they're playing against.

Blood Pack is an amazing perk in the fact that it allows the player to see the Obsession's aura if either of them is injured. After healing the Obsession or being healed by them, they both gain the Haste status effect, which enhances their movement speed for 8 seconds on Tier III. Blood Pack also reduces your chances of being the Obsession. However, if you are the Obsession, the perk will deactivate. This is helpful to stay in contact with other survivors to better coordinate an escape.

Last but certainly not least is Repressed Alliance, which is activated for up to 80 seconds after a generator is repaired by the player. If the player repairs a generator while Repressed Alliance is active, they can press the active ability button and it will call upon The Entity to block the generator for 30 seconds. After this, the perk will deactivate. This will help survivors to plan their objectives and to escape from the killer.

Cheryl Mason is arguably one of the best survivors to play as in Dead By Daylight, not just her lore but her ability to help her team is tremendous. If players use her as a survivor it will no doubt help them become a better team player and help the other survivors live to see another day.
