A second crossover between Dead by Daylight and Resident Evil will add even more iconic characters to the asymmetric horror game. The multiplayer survival experience, developed by Behaviour Interactive, casts four players as hapless survivors while one player assumes the role of a supernatural killer. Since launch the game has become well-known for its crossovers, including a substantial Dead by Daylight crossover with Resident Evil last year, and now a second collaboration has been officially unveiled.

1996's Resident Evil is widely credited with defining the survival horror game genre, with the beloved PlayStation classic spawning a long series of sequels and spin-offs. Last year Dead by Daylight paid tribute to this terrifying franchise in the form of a crossover update that added protagonists Leon Kennedy and Jill Valentine as seasoned survivors. This collaboration also saw the introduction of Resident Evil 3's iconic Nemesis as a biologically enhanced killer, and the Raccoon City Police Department was even transformed into a multiplayer Dead by Daylight map. Earlier this year Behaviour Interactive teased another crossover between Dead by Daylight and Resident Evil, and this exciting update has now been officially unveiled.

A trailer for a new Dead by Daylight Chapter 25 update, titled Resident Evil: Project W, has been revealed by Dead by Daylight (via YouTube). The multiplayer horror game's second crossover with the legendary zombie franchise will add series protagonists Ada Wong and Rebecca Chambers as unique new survivors. The iconic Resident Evil villain Albert Wesker, meanwhile, will be added to the game as an intimidating new killer. Behaviour Interactive has reportedly reworked the Raccoon City Police Department map for the occasion, too. While no official release date has been given, Resident Evil: Project W will apparently come to Dead by Daylight soon.

While Project W will add more Resident Evil heroes and villains to the game, a Dead by Daylight crossover with Attack on Titan will soon add new cosmetic items based on the hit manga and anime series. Set in a world where humanity is constantly threatened by enormous man-eating monsters, the franchise is a perfect fit for the intense asymmetric horror game. Dead by Daylight will receive cosmetic charms and costumes inspired by Attack on Titan, allowing players to dress up the game's fearsome Oni killer as the anime's unstoppable Armored Titan.

Dead by Daylight's first crossover with Resident Evil let players become beloved gaming icons Leon Kennedy and Jill Valentine or cast themselves as the dreaded Nemesis. Now Resident Evil: Project W will let fans engage in asymmetric multiplayer combat as Ada Wong, Rebecca Chambers or the infamously boisterous Albert Wesker. While the update's release date is uncertain, Resident Evil fans can look forward to increased global saturation in the near future.
