Dead By Daylight is an indie horror MMORPG game created by Behavior Interactive in which players can either be survivors to repair generators and escape, or the killer, who vies to stop and kill the survivors. In Dead By Daylight, you can also purchase special perks at the shrine or by using Blood Points, which are gained by performing certain tasks in-game. Perks will work on other killers, but they're not often able to be unlocked by Blood Points and will need to be bought at the shrine.

Players can get by without perks, but to truly succeed and dominate at being a killer, perks in this game are essential. They give the player new abilities and can enhance already existing abilities. From instantly killing a survivor to teleportation, these perks will help players become a truly brutal killer.

Dead By Daylight: Best Perks For Killers

First on this list is Nurse's Calling for The Nurse. This perk causes a survivor to become visible as soon as they attempt healing, whether it be themselves or another survivor, within 28 meters of the killer at Tier III. This is extremely useful as the survivors often have self-healing perks that promote healing. This perk is great because it will either force them to not heal or it will reveal their location to the killer. But if it's strength that's needed then Brutal Strength for The Trapper is the way to go. It grants the player the ability to destroy pallets that have been dropped by survivors and do damage to generators 20% faster than normal at Tier III. This is useful to eliminate an escape route for survivors and potentially stopping their escape.

If players need to make a last-ditch effort to get a few kills before the round ends then Hex: No One Escapes Death for any killer is an amazing perk. Hidden throughout the map are five Dull Totems. If at least one Dull Totem is active by the time the Exit Gates start to open this perk will activate, causing all survivors to suffer the Exposed effect which makes them be able to go down in one hit and gives you a speed boost of 3% at Tier III. This perk is great for when you need to take care of that one last survivor or if you need to at least get one or two kills in before the round ends.

A deadly combination of perks would have to be Cruel Limits for The Demogorgon and Tinkerer for The Hillbilly. With Cruel Limits, whenever a generator is repaired all vault spots and windows in a 24-meter radius of the generator are immediately locked and won't allow any survivors to go through for 30 seconds on Tier III. With Tinkerer, whenever a generator gets repaired to 85% the killer will get a notification and their Terror Radius will drop to zero.  If the killer has both of these perks, then they will not only be able to stop a survivor from escaping once they repaired a generator but they will be able to sneak up to the survivor without them being alerted.

To be a good killer and please the entity in Dead By Daylight players will need to both pick out a killer they work best with and find perks to make that killer even stronger and more unstoppable. It's always better to use the perks that are especially for that killer, but if there is an opportunity to make deadly combinations such as Cruel Limits and Tinkerer, then players should do it, even if it's a little harder to get the perk combinations they want or need.
