The DC Extended Universe is easily one of the biggest comic book movie franchises in the world, and over the course of 10 movies, it has introduced audiences to several different heroes from the comics. While things have to be changed for the big screen, their power levels have been pretty accurate to the source material from what fans have seen so far.

The roster of characters has included 9 major heroes thus far, and that list expands with each new movie, with every new hero bring different amounts of power and experience.

Batman

An image of Bruce Wayne looking serious in the movies

Bruce Wayne is the only hero in the franchise so far with no superman abilities. Despite this, he is an extremely capable fighter, which fans see when he takes out a room full of armed men while rescuing Martha Kent using hand-to-hand combat and several gadgets like his grappling gun and Batarangs.

He has also shown an ability to compete against opponents that are more powerful than him, like when he almost killed Superman while wearing a suit of armor and using weapons made from Kryptonite that he crafted himself. Even though he is the weakest hero in the franchise, he is one of the most experienced after years of being the protector of Gotham.

Black Canary

Dinah Lance is the most recently introduced of the heroes with her debut in Birds of Prey. Like Barry, Dinah is a metahuman, and possesses a sonic scream known as her "Canary Cry" which she inherited from her mother. She only uses the power once, but a single blast was able to take out all of Black Mask's men at once.

The downside to her powers is that using them for a while can put a strain on her body, causing her to faint. Even without the use of her powers, she is a skilled fighter, with her being capable enough to take on several opponents with ease using various martial arts.

Mera

Amber Heard as Mera in Aquaman

Princess Y'Mera Xebella Challa has the same abilities as most Atlanteans including enhanced strength, speed, durability, and senses.  However, unlike most Atlanteans, Mera can also survive on the surface in addition to underwater.

The primary power that she uses in combat is her hydrokinesis (which she is much better at using than Arthur), which is shown when she was being chased by Atlantean soldiers through Sicily and ends up in a wine shop and fashions the wine into daggers which she hurls at them and during the battle of the Brine.

Cyborg

Cyborg begins to cry in Justice League

After an accident that almost killed him, Victor Stone's body was combined with Motherbox technology from the planet Apokolips. The result turned him into essentially a walking computer made out of living matter that can adapt to various situations, even turning his limbs into different weapons, like the energy cannon he uses against both Superman and Steppenwolf.

In addition to general enhancements, he has a holographic display that provides him with information and is able to connect to and control most technological devices like when he took over the Flying Fox.

Shazam

After getting transported to the Rock of Eternity, Billy Batson was chosen as a champion by the wizard Shazam and granted the power of the Gods. Billy shares a lot of abilities with Superman, including his flight and super strength, and he can also manipulate electricity.

Billy was strong enough to catch a bus full of people with his bare hands, but still struggled against a more experienced opponent in Dr. Sivana and the Seven Deadly Sins. Billy can also switch into his heroic form by shouting "Shazam!" which physically transforms him from a 15-year-old to a fully grown adult, and he can even share his abilities with others.

Aquaman

Since Arthur is a Human-Atlantean Hybrid, he is capable of surviving both on land and underwater. After being trained by Vulko from a young age, his eyes adjusted to the ocean's depths, allowing him to see clearly. He is able to move at great speed, especially while underwater, he's strong enough to lift a submarine and bring it to the surface, and has incredibly tough skin.

He is capable of minor hydrokinesis and can also telepathically communicate with the creatures of the ocean, allowing him to use them as allies in battle. While he initially used a quintet that he was given by his mother in Justice League, he later upgraded to the Trident of King Atlan, which increased his power over the seas.

The Flash

Barry Allen Flash Justice League

Barry Allen is a metahuman and one of the few heroes who wasn't born with his powers. Barry's powers, which are the result of a lab accident, come from his connection to the Speed Force which allows him to run at speeds fast enough to render him invisible and avoid punches from both Superman and Steppenwolf.

While speed is his primary ability, he supposedly is (or will be) capable of time travel, which is a skill he seems to use when he arriving in the Batcave attempting to reach out to Bruce in Batman V. Superman, years before they even properly met. When he runs, Barry can create electrical charges around him in the form of lightning, which was the method used to activate the Motherbox to bring Superman back from the dead.

Wonder Woman

Diana is an Amazon-Olympian demigod as the daughter of Zeus and Hippolyta. She is a skilled fighter due to her years of training with the Amazons and her destiny as the God Killer. She has superhuman strength, agility, speed, durability, and she became capable of electricity manipulation and flight after she tapped into her true power.

She also has several weapons and pieces of equipment that she uses in combat including her Amazon shield, the Bracelets of Submission which are bulletproof and can emit powerful shockwaves, the Lasso of Hestia which is completely indestructible and can force anyone captured by it to tell the truth, and the Sword of Athena and which served as a replacement weapon for her God Killer sword which was destroyed by Ares. She was able to take on Doomsday along with Batman and Superman and singlehandedly defeat the God of War.

Superman

Superman in court.

Since Kal-El is originally from Krypton, his powers come on account of him absorbing the radiation from the Earth's yellow sun. The exposure to it granted him a wide range of abilities including super strength, heat vision, X-ray vision, and flight. While he initially struggled to get a hold of his powers in his youth, he eventually learned to control his abilities, allowing him to do incredible things like being able to lift a catch a rocket as well as pull a gigantic ship through the ice.

His only real weakness comes from Kryptonite, which was how he almost died in his battle against Batman. Without it being used, he was shown to be fast enough to keep up with the Flash and strong enough to take on the rest of the members of the Justice League at once after being recently resurrected.
