Zombie Superman is Beaten By [SPOILER] in DCeased Finale

The zombie Superman is practically unstoppable in the DCeased finale, but only ONE hero manages to slow him down. Can zombies be proud?

Warning: SPOILERS for DCeased #6

When the undead nightmare of DCeased first began, it went without saying that a version of DC's Anti-Life equation could utterly destroy planet Earth if the infection claimed the wrong superhero. And when Superman was zombified in the series' finale, the results were as catastrophic as imagined. But it also gave an opportunity for one young hero to show what he's made of. Superman may not be able to feel or think anything anymore, but if he could know his son, Superboy, chose to stand against him... we like to think we would be proud.

The DCeased series is filled to the brim with incredible Justice League moments, and they came faster and more furious as the finale approached. First came Flash being too slow for Martian Manhunter, driving him into a superspeed frenzy. Then came the tough decision for Superman to fly through Barry Allen, obliterating the threat he posed... but accidentally infecting himself, in the process. And just like that, hope died on DC's Earth. But in low orbit, things were different.

The plan conceived by Wonder Woman to forge a magic/kryptonite sword with which to kill Superman is impressive, we'll give her that. And the Green Lantern Black Canary's power-up is ingenious. But when the zombie Superman comes flying straight for the human survivors escaping into space... only one young boy stands in the way. And it's a moment no fan of Jonathan Kent's Superboy will ever forget.
