Young Justice Outsiders Season 3 Title Card

After years of waiting, Young Justice: Outsiders makes its triumphant return to DC Universe. And with the newest trailer, fans know just how much more they have to get excited about aside from the actual animated series.

It's been officially known for some time that Young Justice: Outsiders will launch on January 4th, 2019, via the DC Universe service. But once subscribers are done marking their calendars with the final release schedule (three episodes at a time), they'll also want to prepare for "expanded" versions of the first two seasons, a behind-the-scenes documentary series for the new Outsiders season, and a prequel comic book, too. 2019 is going to be a good year for Young Justice fans.

Beginning on January 4th, three episodes of Young Justice: Outsiders will premiere each Friday throughout the month. The finale of the season's first half arrives on January 25th, bringing a special fourth episode along with it. The schedule may change when Outsiders returns for the second half of its season in June 2019. But for now, feast your eyes on the new Young Justice trailer to dial excitement for the new year even higher:

Along with the trailer comes the announcement of a Making of Young Justice: Outsiders Documentary Series, which will be giving DC Universe subscribers a dose of Young Justice during the week, as well. Check out the official details below:

With the The Whelmed Podcast's Rich Howard, Emily Buza, and Neal Powell, DC talents Sam Humphries, Bernard Chang, James Tynion IV, and Mike Carlin, and Young Justice producers Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti, and art director Phil Bourassa confirmed as part of the "enhanced" team, the trailer below shows how their insights will be delivered to subscribers weekly:

And just to make sure that Young Justice is encouraging fans to use the DC Universe service in all its multimedia channels, two 10-page chapters of a Young Justice: Outsiders prequel comic book will also be made available exclusively to subscribers. Written by Young Justice: Outsiders producer Greg Weisman with art by Christopher Jones, the comic chapters will be released on January 2nd and 3rd, ahead of the show's launch on January 4th. Add in the Young Justice heroes and storylines likely to be showcased and highlighted across the DC Universe service, and the new year should start in a big way for the most devoted (and patient) fans DC can claim.
