As Matt Reeves’ The Batman approaches, DC Comics is commemorating the film with newly revealed variant covers. Notable comic book artists’ renditions of Robert Pattinson’s Batman, Paul Dano’s Riddler, Zoe Kravitz’s Catwoman, and more will be featured with upcoming issues next month.

The next reboot of the Dark Knight is embracing his rogues gallery, including villains such as the Penguin, Falcone, Catwoman, and Riddler in the film. Although fans were previously disappointed that Ben Affleck would not reprise his role for a solo movie as he had a comic book accurate suit, the next depiction of Gotham City will riff on popular characters in the DC Universe. Previously, a handful of variant covers were announced by DC Comics which feature versions of Batman and Catwoman from The Batman. Now, the publisher has unveiled additional variant covers coinciding with Reeves’ film.

Before The Batman releases on March 4, DC Comics will feature nine variant covers with issues releasing throughout next month. Variants will be included on titles including Batman, Batman: Killing Time, Batgirls, Detective Comics, Batman: The Knight, Catwoman, Justice League, Nightwing, and Harley Quinn. Each variant provides readers with a look at the costume designs of Batman, Catwoman, and other characters. Lee Bermejo’s variant cover for Batman #121 on March 1 kicks off the month, a few days before Pattinson’s debut as the Caped Crusader.

Batman: Killing Time #1 will also release on March 1, with a variant option illustrated by Carlos D’Anda, featuring the vigilante with his batcycle. On March 8, Batgirls #4 will release with a variant by Jonboy Meyers, along with Detective Comics #1056 with a variant by Puppeteer Lee, and Batman: The Knight #3 with a variant by Rafael Albuquerque. On March 15, Catwoman #41 will release with a variant by Jenny Frison, Justice League #74 with a variant by Ben Oliver, and Nightwing #90 with a variant by Riccardo Federici. Lastly, Harley Quinn #13 will go on sale March 22 with a variant by Simone Bianchi.

The variants depict the grounded take on Gotham through artists’ distinct styles. Previously, the cover for Zoe Kravitz’s Catwoman with Catwoman #41 gave fans a better look at the Batman’s romantic partner. Wielding a bike chain as a whip while wearing her prototype Catwoman costume, the grounded take on Selina Kyle calls back to Batman: Year One. Each variant could easily double as a poster for the film, displaying the scale of Matt Reeves’ highly anticipated reinvention of Batman.
